Inter Milan manager Cristian Chivu will lock horns with Como boss Cesc Fabregas in an exciting Coppa Italia semi-final tie.
According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the matchup carries extra intrigue, as Inter had considered both managers last year.
Inter had reportedly identified Cesc Fabregas as their first choice to replace Simone Inzaghi last summer.
However, they had to appoint Cristian Chivu after the Spaniard turned them down.
Inter Milan Boss Cristian Chivu vs Como Manager Cesc Fabregas

Inter dismantled Como in Serie A earlier this season, emerging as 4-0 victors at San Siro in December.
Despite that disastrous defeat, Fabregas’ men boast the division’s second-best defensive record.
Indeed, they’ve conceded only 20 goals compared to Inter’s 21.
However, the runaway Serie A leaders have massively outperformed the Lariani in attack.
For context, Chivu’s charges have netted an eye-catching 65 league goals this term.
That’s 20 more than Como, highlighting a huge gulf in attacking quality between the sides.
Meanwhile, Inter will be keen to translate that gap into an all-important first-leg victory tonight.
