Brazilian star Luis Henrique insists that he is happy at Inter Milan despite a rough start to life in Serie A.
Speaking to Brazilian outlet Estadao via FCInterNews, the versatile winger also hailed his compatriot, Carlos Augusto.
Luis Henrique joined Inter from Marseille last summer for a reported fee of €23 million.
Despite his outstanding form in Ligue 1 last season, the 24-year-old has found it difficult to settle in his new surroundings.
Furthermore, he has had to adapt to a new role at San Siro, with Cristian Chivu giving him more defensive duties.
Indeed, Henrique used to play strictly as a winger during his prolific stint at the Stade Velodrome.
However, Chivu has mostly used him as a wingback this term.
Henrique has often failed to meet expectations, but he has recently started showing signs of improvement.
For context, he scored one goal and added two assists in his last five Serie A appearances.
Luis Henrique Maintains He Is Happy at Inter Milan

“It’s a role I’m still adapting to,” Henrique admitted. “It also involves a lot of marking. Every day I learn more about how to handle marking and pressure, but I think I’m doing well.”
Meanwhile, it’s fair to say that he has recently become indispensable, largely thanks to Denzel Dumfries’ injury.
“It’s been six months of hard work, whether I liked it or not,” Henrique added. “I played occasionally, came on for short spells, and then managed to establish myself.
“I’m very happy; I feel more comfortable every day. And I think this will take me to the highest levels of football.”
Furthermore, Henrique praised his teammates for offering him a warm welcome.
“The guys welcomed me very well,” he claimed. “Lautaro was one of the first to message me when I signed. There are the French-speaking players, who I get along with very well.
“There are about eight guys there who speak French. They’re the ones I’m closest to: Thuram, Bonny, Diouf and Carlos Augusto, who is very involved in my daily life.
“He, in particular, welcomed me warmly, introduced me to the club and has always taken great care of me. He was fundamental in helping me adapt to Inter.”

For all his faults, which are as follows;
allergic to put in crosses.
very rarely takes on his man when isolated.
never shoots when open
passes, shots, crosses always low power
passes backwards 99.99% of the time
for all these faults he has helped the team more than most since the 20th Nov last year. HE has played pretty much every 3 days non stop for the last 3mths because both Dumfries and Darmian have been out injured. HE has turned up and put in his work shift game after game after game.
I congratulate him greatly for that and really hope he finds the confidence to improve his above faults as he definitely has the ability to be much better and more of a protagonist on our right side.
