Marcus Thuram and his participation in Sunday’s Milan derby is in serious doubt after the France forward failed to shake off a fever, with Inter Milan now preparing for the likelihood of starting Ange-Yoan Bonny alongside Pio Esposito in attack whilst Davide Bartesaghi returns for the hosts.

According to Sky Sport, via FCInterNews, Inter are attempting to get Thuram ready at least for the bench, but his chances of starting look slim.

Should he miss out entirely, Chivu will turn to the untested Bonny-Esposito combination from the off.

However, it is a young partnership that has never started a match together this season.

In midfield, Hakan Calhanoglu is confirmed to begin on the bench.

Mkhitaryan takes his place alongside Zielinski in the regista role and Barella, with Sucic the alternative option if Chivu needs to change things.

Luis Henrique and Dimarco are confirmed in the wing-back roles.

For AC Milan, Massimiliano Allegri has recovered Bartesaghi ahead of the derby.

Although the young Italian will start on the bench.

Estupinan gets the nod at left wing-back, with Fofana preferred to Ricci and Jashari in midfield alongside Modric and Rabiot. Leao and Pulisic lead the line.
