AC Milan beat Inter Milan in Sunday’s mouth-watering Serie A showdown in controversial circumstances.

Sunday’s clash at San Siro produced a nerve-shredding finale.

Indeed, Milan entered the second-half stoppages boasting a narrow 1-0 lead, courtesy of Pervis Estupinan’s first-half goal.

However, referee Daniele Doveri created chaos in the final minutes.

First, he stopped the play for no good reason, denying Inter a last-gasp equalizer.

Then, he refused to award a penalty to the Nerazzurri, even though Samuele Ricci handled the ball inside the box.
