Oaktree Capital Management is increasingly shaping the Inter Milan squad, setting clear guidelines for the club’s future.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri will undergo a comprehensive overhaul in the summer.

Numerous aging stars are likely to leave the club at the end of the season.

Indeed, from Yann Sommer to Francesco Acerbi, several veterans will be on their way out in June.

Despite their influential dressing room status, Inter have decided to move on and rejuvenate their squad ahead of 2026/27.

Therefore, they have decided not to renew a number of expiring contracts.

Oaktree is prioritizing younger, high-potential players to build a more dynamic and competitive squad for the future.

With that in mind, players like Francesco Pio Esposito are expected to play a prominent role in the new project.

Meanwhile, long-serving captain Lautaro Martinez remains central to Cristian Chivu’s plans at San Siro.

However, others, like Marcus Thuram and Alessandro Bastoni, could cut ties with the runaway Serie A leaders to make way for newcomers.

Needless to say, Beppe Marotta will oversee transfer dealings in the summer to make sure the transition goes as smoothly as possible.
