Inter Milan have imposed a total media blackout following Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Atalanta.
According to FCInterNews, no player or club representative is set to speak to the press or attend the post-match press conference.
The decision reflects the depth of anger inside the Nerazzurri camp over the refereeing decisions in the final stages at San Siro.
Inter 1-1 Atalanta – Nerazzurri Media Blackout After Referee Disappointment
Inter protested furiously over the contact on Dumfries before Krstovic’s equaliser, and again when Frattesi went down in the Atalanta area without a penalty being awarded.
Neither call went their way, and the club’s response has been to shut down all communication entirely.
It is a significant and deliberate statement from Inter.
Rather than risk inflammatory post-match comments that could result in sanctions, the club have chosen silence.
The frustration, however, speaks louder than any words could.
The result opens up the door for rivals Milan to further close the gap at the top of Serie A.
Last weekend, the Rossoneri beat Inter.
And, indeed, if Allegri’s side can beat Lazio, they will close the gap to just five points.
For now, the media blackout is a clear indication of Inter feelings after the draw with Atalanta.
For the visitors, they will take the result – but there will be disappointment in the Nerazzurri camp about the circumstances.

Has anyone seen some the delusional trash of inter “fans” who come here and attack me for stating facts? Oh wait they are the same losers who thought inter would have won the treble this season LOL. inter is not a good club. I guess inzaghi’s failure used to be in the month of January and Chiv’s failure is in the month of March. There is 99% chance that ac bilan or cu.nte will get the scudetto
Why do such astonishing and undisguised controversial refereeing decisions occur? In fact, some clues can be found in the remarks made after the end of last season by several officials from the Serie A league and senior figures in the Italian Football Federation. They boasted that, while in many other European leagues the champion is often decided as early as April, in Serie A no team has been able to defend the title for five years, and the championship race is often decided only at the very last moment. According to them, this proves how “entertaining” Serie A is.
Perhaps this is why, after Inter built a large lead in the league standings, they began encountering various non-sporting factors interfering with their progress. Serie A is currently facing serious business difficulties: broadcasting rights are becoming harder to sell, and even the home stadiums of strong teams like Lazio are often half empty. The league desperately needs a dramatic title race to increase its revenue.
From the earlier malicious media hype targeting Bastoni to the series of unbelievable refereeing mistakes we are seeing now, it is quite clear that some people, in order to maintain this suspense in the title race, are willing to do whatever it takes.
But can suspense created in this way really save a declining Serie A? The fact that the Italian national team has failed to qualify for the World Cup finals for two consecutive tournaments already gives the answer.
According to the plastic fangirls here – there are no ref mistakes. Just an Inter team that is not good. But sitting top with all the ref mistakes throughout the season.
Same fangirls will tell their friends “my team is a champion” with pride at the end. But ragebaiting all season. Someone said it before and i’ll say it again: if you cant support us when we lose – dont support us when we lose. Plastic haters that never played in their life so they cannot evaluate what a single touch at certain speed leads to. All sitting at their video games all day and lecturing other fans over whats good. This is not fifa. Buying and selling players has many aspects that cant be overlooked.
And one more thing. Rube does control the ref body not as much as before, but enough. Everyone licked them as much as they could over a foul that was there if even light. The campaign against Sandro is another proof that calciopoli never left. So the fangirls here can hate as much as they want, but as you mentioned – there are things that seem too obvious to ignore. The ones here will hate no matter what.
Forza Inter
Its actually annoying hearing some Inter fans saying players shouldn’t go down and just play football. But in reality every team does it when they feel a contact inside opponents box they go down and most of the time they get awarded a penalty. Inter as an attacking team it gives them an advantage because the reality is that opponents will 100% now do it more against Inter because they know refs are against Inter and they will call everything a penalty. Inter should do the same and go on all out attack and go down the moment they feel the slightest of touch inside opposition box. Only recently after missing Lautaro Inter haven’t been directly attacking teams but I feel Lautaro will come back very fired up and I suspect Inter will win penalties because now teams will defend even deeper and if Inter try to play the nice guy role they’ll lose the scudetto
chivu no matter how big i hate all of them bi888es in those big fat serie a clowns, take an example from mou on how he silenced the clowns that tried so hard to seize our triumphs. he won in the fields, he regulated the air, made the players focus on the field, you know it chivu. now apply that to yours, play with identity, this team is in irregular path, our players just give the ball to wings but no thorough threats in attacks.
bad play by inter DOES NOT mean we were deserved not being given penalty for the foul, period.
Explain that to all the plastic trash here
Look at EPL, how many U21 players are playing? Dowman with Arsenal scored today at the age of 16 years old. Look at our young players, look at all serie A young players. No wonder it is getting worse for Italian teams. No room for the young players. Each team has to win and afraid to use young players. It is just a vicious circle.
The funny thing is that EPL have a lot of money and still give much space to their youngsters, while Serie A with little money prefer to buy low-quality players from abroad over giving space to academy talent.
There was no foul on Dumfries neither penalty on Fratesi. It is not the 1st time happens with Dumfries and Chivu made terrible decision by substituting Sucic for Mkitarrhyan and Pio for Bonny. I do not think Fratesi deserved more playing time.
//… by substituting Sucic for Mkitarrhyan//
100^ agree. We are losing games since Kivi has removed limited Mhiki’s time
So many non Inter fans acting as if Inter was not robbed. Funny. Go back to your pathetic teams that cry rivers of teams if they are even seeing a hint of wrong decision.
I agree with others here. We can’t keep relying on refs. We just have a sh*t team and we were lucky this season, with all due of respect.
Bony has been terrible now for so many matches playing so casual with no urgency to shoot under pressure. Pio is 1000 times better despite lacking the skill and pace. Thuram is having his worst season at Inter and maybe it was Lautaro that made him look better. I think there’s no other option than to rush Lautaro or else it’d be the biggest embarrassment because Chivu isn’t brave enough to start using some primavera or convert players to fit the forward positions. Frattesi can play there but he’s used when Inter needs to score instead of using him strategically. Bony case is getting annoying every week since the guy has potential but lacks awareness. Henrique should be frozen or only play when the result is a certain win otherwise it’s like shooting yourself on the foot. Dumfries lack of judgment caused the goal but was 100% better and must be the one to play on that position. Susic suffers the same Bony problem in dangerous position he doesn’t know how to shoot but additionally he likes sideways and backward passes no wonder the moment Mikhi was on two chances are directly created by him
Bayern (a team Simone Inzhagi has beaten just last year with great football) just gave atalanta 6 in their own ground and the match should have been 12-1 for Bayren. be real! the team is just not good enough and the coach of inter is just trash! inter has played trash football all year long. winning the league just shows how weak the italian league has actually become! out of shape liverpool beat inter in San Siro and everybody is crying about a penalty! Inzhagi’s Inter would have should have dominated that out of shape losing Liverpool in San Siro. Look what Bodo did to inter ? a team nobody has ever heard of has dominated inter in 2 matches in a row!! the coach and team are just not good enough and u know it!
The team and the coach are not good enought. End of story
Agreed.
well said
Agreed
Refs will start to not give us penalties if we keep diving all the time like Barella or Pio, or stupid dives like Bastoni vs Juve and Dumfries today.
Enough about refs. Is we scored 2 goals this wouldn’t have been an issue. we played poorly and didn’t make many good chances which led to this.
That’s my point, we should focus to play and win the games instead of trying to rely on refs.
i am agreeing with you aswell haha but it may have seen as i was going at you mb
Nope – stop blaming others,
Dumfries threw himself on the floor for no reason, just do your job and clear the ball.
Frattesi pen would have been soft.
The problem is the mentality / lack of intensity / fear / low effort / poor fitness.
If it helps to play the victim and galvanise the squad that’s fine but inwardly you better putting rockets up asses! That simply isn’t good enough.
Those people that come in here every week and abuse Lautaro, where are you for Thuram and Bonny ? They can both get F’d useless, lazy rubbish both of them.
Indeed, Dumfries lost us 2 points with that stupid dive. Maybe Chivu tells the players to dive, otherwise I am curious why they are diving so much.
I was with u till u started talking bad about Bonny! that shows that u don’t know shit about this sport. FYI, he is the ONLY player in the whole squad with dribbling ability, let Juve take Bonny and u will know why your coach is too dumb to put him on the bench for so long! he started the year on fire till that coach put him on the bench. Barrella has been playing like trash for 2 YEARS ! Mikhatrian basically stopped playing pro football 3 YERAS AGO! Acherbi is too old he can barley walk but he started the biggest matches in champions league! Lautaro is great when it comes to scoring againt caligari and Genoa, but against Atletico Madrid, Liverpool, Arsenal, the big dogs in europe, he can’t do shit! but u wouldn’t know that, u a baseball fan!
Blaming others is not correct. But not talking about it is also nonsense. Atlanta played well and better than us, but that doesnt cancel the right that why the Frattesi potential penalty not even checked. If it is checked and ref confirmed too light contact to call, then I think it is better to take. Even commentators frustrated there for that moment.
I agree on mentality part, lack of intensity, low effort, poor fitness. Those are the parts Chivu really needs to work on.
Corruption is destroying this sport. It’s unfortunate that our chance of winning the scudetto is minimal. Hope Milan slips tomorrow.
Beppe better rage or leave. This is when a president have to step up. Have some balls beppe
wrong decision to do a blackout. juve had a mental breakdown. 2 penalties in a row not called or reviewed. not acceptable .
I have to say both PKS today’s on Frattesie and Ricci’s handball last week should have been awarded. It looks very suspicious by FIGC Referees.
