Inter Milan goal-getter Marcus Thuram could leave Serie A in the summer, with several Saudi Pro League clubs reportedly interested in his services.
According to Tuttosport via FCInter1908, the 28-year-old could continue his career in the desert.
Out-of-form Marcus Thuram has been a shadow of his former self this season.
Indeed, the Frenchman has netted just seven goals in 22 Serie A appearances, last scoring against Sassuolo in early February.
Furthermore, he has immensely struggled in the absence of his attacking partner, Lautaro Martinez.
Meanwhile, Francesco Pio Esposito has capitalized on Thuram’s dip in form, stepping up to make a significant impact for Inter
Inter Milan Ace Marcus Thuram Tempted by Saudi Pro League Offers
With Cristian Chivu keen to build a new era at San Siro around Lautaro and Esposito, Thuram now appears surplus to requirements.
However, it’s hard to expect anyone to trigger his eye-watering €85 million release clause after such a disappointing season.
Nevertheless, he could find safe haven in the riches of Saudi Arabia, like several former Serie A stars, including Franck Kessie, Marcelo Brozovic, and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
Indeed, the Saudis are reportedly willing to offer Thuram lucrative terms to persuade him to leave San Siro in the summer.

His legs have gone.
its a very limited player. hes a nice guy always smiling and having fun. but he cant really do much. its weird that a winning team like inter made such bad transfers. when other teams like Napoli seem to be able to buy world class players. i would rather have Sebastiano Esposito. and bonny is better than thuram. only thuram is good in headers. but we also have Dumfries and bisseck and pio Esposito for that. if we can get good money for thuram. than no more gambling and buy an attacker that has proven himself. even Roma can get maalen.
Thats what weve been doing for years. They just end up getting no playing time and get into the endless cyle of loans.
lol what Saudi? There wont be any League active there for the coming year because of the war.
Thuram had 1 good year in his entire career and he’s been living that good year ever since.
It’s been more than proved that Marcus is a small club striker. He can’t put up with pressure in face to face against big goalkeepers, especially in UCL. He misses too many decisive chances.
Finally, any offer around 60 mil needs to be accepted. Cheaper replacements that our board would go for are Pinamonti, Pellegrino, Douvikas or Tresoldi in the price range up to 20 mil. Scamacca and Undav would be a little more expensive with a little over a year left of contract. Parrott would be the most expensive out of them and probably the best signing we could afford. If Chivu decides to change to formation with wingers the money we get from Thurams sale can be reinvested into buying of Adeyemi and bringing Wilson on free transfer.
Lets sell if anything above 60mil. We got him for free so its still a good profit. We should sell Dumfries, Thuaram, Frattesi and let go of all our old players. The first thing we should do is bring back Stankovic for 23mil (we sold him for 10mil) so basically getting him for 13mil. We should also get a keeper and an attacking mid with the cash we got from our sales. We also need to get a new right back Pedro Porro would be ideal if not Mingueza. We should also move to a 4 back and so we can fix out damn offense. We need more ways to score goals rathers than just doing early crosses.
Also fill our talents like Topolovis, Alexious, Burenbruch, Cocchi after letting go of our old players.
The obsession with young players is understandable but in reality they do not add much value to the senior team and need to be integrated very carefully. Just throwing babies into the sharkpool won’t help
Maybe not immediate value to the senior team, but why are English clubs constantly giving some minutes to 16, 17, 18 year old kids? Because those minutes are placing those kids at football map, increasing they market value, maybe next season they get more chances for senior team or get starting place at some Championship club, where after good showing can be recalled for a shot in 25-man senior team as a teenager.
How is that obsession? All Im saying is give them some playing time while we get better starting players. They don’t cost anything and if we manage to find even one player who is performing well would be a benefit.
if playing in Serie A all these young players can be subs at most, More realistic solution for them would be to be loaned out to some other clubs, either in Italy or elsewhere and then to decide whether any of them can play any role at Inter’s first squad
I think a back 4 would be problematic for Dimarco and Bastoni. Maybe I’m wrong, but Dimarco needs space in front of him and he needs defensive help. Basto has basically never played successfully in a back 4. He’s not a bruising, committed CB
