Inter Milan will take on Fiorentina in an exciting Serie A showdown on Sunday without Cristian Chivu in the dugout.

According to FCInterNews, Sports Judge Gerardo Mastrandea has handed the 45-year-old a one-game suspension after his touchline tantrum against Atalanta.

La Dea held the Nerazzurri to a controversial 1-1 draw at San Siro last weekend.

However, referee Gianluca Manganiello made a series of erratic decisions in that match, with each going against Inter.

In addition to refusing to review Nikola Krstovic’s equalizer for Kamaldeen Sulemana’s foul on Denzel Dumfries, he didn’t award a clear penalty to Inter.

As a result, the runaway Serie A leaders are now staring down the barrel of a four-game winless run for the first time under Cristian Chivu.

Manganiello’s poor refereeing left Inter Milan players and staff fuming.

Indeed, Chivu lost his temper toward the end of the game, earning two yellow cards in quick succession for his fierce protests on the touchline.

Consequentially, the former Parma boss will not be in the dugout when the Nerazzurri face Fiorentina at Artemio Franchi this weekend.

Furthermore, Carlos Augusto and Petar Sucic will also have to serve a one-game ban for angry outbursts.
