Josep Martinez could leave Inter Milan after just two seasons, having failed to secure regular first-team football at San Siro.
According to Corriere dello Sport via L’Interista, the Nerazzurri are open to selling the Spanish goalkeeper.
Inter shelled out around €15 million to sign Josep Martinez from Genoa in 2024.
Indeed, the 27-year-old arrived at Giuseppe Meazza as a backup option for starting goalkeeper Yann Sommer.
However, the Spaniard must have hoped to feature more often.
Still, Cristian Chivu has handed him just six starts in all competitions this season despite Sommer’s ups and downs.
Inter Milan Open to Selling Josep Martinez
Sommer will cut ties with Inter when his contract expires in June.
Therefore, Chivu’s men have explored the market for potential replacements, with Guglielmo Vicario emerging as the club’s top target.
In addition to the Tottenham Hotspur star, Elia Caprile, Andriy Lunin, and Alisson Becker have caught Beppe Marotta’s eye.
However, the latter has renewed his contract at Liverpool, effectively ruling him out as a realistic option for Inter.
Meanwhile, Sommer may not be the only Nerazzurri keeper to leave San Siro at the end of the season.
Indeed, Martinez could also be on his way out, with the Italian giants looking to recoup their investment.

Why is he not being given a chance to play. Would he do worse than Sommer? We will never know. What we know for sure is that Sommer is finished and if there is a time to test a GK it should be now. Pretty much every other shot on target equals a gola. Even in our last game against Atalanta he parried the ball right into the path of Krstovic. Thanks to last year heroics but he should be on the bench.
Do you see him everyday during trainings?
Inter’s coaching staff do – so trust in their decisions not to play him.
