France boss Didier Deschamps has included Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram in his squad for the upcoming international break.

According to FCInterNews, the 28-year-old will be part of the squad to travel across the Atlantic for a pair of friendlies later this month.

Marcus Thuram has been a shadow of his former self this season.

Indeed, marred by injuries and inconsistency, the Frenchman has scored a mere seven goals in 22 Serie A outings.

Furthermore, the former Borussia Monchengladbach star was last on the scoresheet in a 5-0 thrashing of Sassuolo in early February.

However, he has since gone four consecutive league matches without scoring.

Out-of-Form Inter Milan Star Marcus Thuram Receives France Call-Up

Thuram has been unable to find his form in the absence of his attacking partner, Lautaro Martinez.

Despite his rough patch, Cristian Chivu continues to rely on him while waiting for El Toro’s return to the pitch.

Meanwhile, Thuram’s underwhelming patch has not deterred Deschamps from handing him another international call-up.

Therefore, Thuram will travel to the United States ahead of France’s preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Les Bleus will face South American heavyweights Brazil and Colombia in a pair of high-profile friendlies in late March.
