Serie A pacesetters Inter Milan are reportedly ready to launch an opening bid for Udinese defender Oumar Solet after Easter.
According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri are looking to seal the deal before the end of the season.
Oumar Solet was on Inter’s shortlist last summer, but the San Siro giants refused to pursue his signature due to his off-field issues.
Indeed, the Frenchman was facing charges for alleged sexual assault.
However, the Udine Public Prosecutor’s Office will reportedly drop the case.
Meanwhile, it would significantly bolster Solet’s chances of joining a top club in the summer.
Inter Milan to Table Opening Bid for Oumar Solet After Easter
Solet’s impressive performances at the Bluenergy Stadium have not gone unnoticed.
In addition to Inter, several other elite clubs have shown interest in the former Red Bull Salzburg center-back.
However, Cristian Chivu’s men are keen to beat competition to the 26-year-old’s signature as they prepare to revamp their defensive options.
Indeed, several long-serving defenders will be on their way out in June.
Stefan de Vrij, Francesco Acerbi, and Matteo Darmian have failed to convince the club to renew their expiring contracts.
Therefore, Inter are looking to sign more than one center-back, with Solet emerging as one of their primary targets.

Solet is not Inter material. We need quality CBs.
Other options are either too expensive or requiring higher salary that we can afford.
It is better to buy 2 quality players than to buy 4 or 5 mid-table ones like last summer. If a player is not Inter material, then what is the point of buying him?
He is amongst top 10 best rated cbs in Italy this season. True, rating isn’t 100% right, but it’s close enough.
Solet and Gila would be perfect reinforcements as right and central cbs next season at the price range under 30 mil.
Agree, both the perfect age with Serie A experience, pace and can defend.
