Inter Milan have reportedly earmarked Roma midfielder Manu Kone as their top target ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri are preparing for a transitional summer.

It could be a busy transfer window for the runaway Serie A leaders, with several veteran stars expected to leave the club.

Furthermore, Hakan Calhanoglu’s future is hanging in the balance, while Davide Frattesi could finally wave goodbye to San Siro.

Meanwhile, it’s still uncertain whether Inter will offer Henrikh Mkhitaryan a new deal.

Therefore, they are eager to bolster their midfield options.

Inter Milan Set Sights on Roma Star Manu Kone

Beppe Marotta had tried to lure Manu Kone away from the Stadio Olimpico last summer but to no avail.

Unfortunately, Roma had no interest in selling the French midfielder, who remains vital to Gian Piero Gasperini’s setup.

However, Inter will reportedly make a new offer for the 24-year-old at the end of the current campaign.

Moreover, the Nerazzurri are ready to splash out at least €40 million to sign the former Borussia Monchengladbach star.

It’s worth noting that Inter last spent such a figure six years ago, when they landed Achraf Hakimi from Borussia Dortmund.
