Inter Milan could reportedly use funds from a potential sale of Alessandro Bastoni to finance their squad rebuild in the summer.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri might complete three major signings by reinvesting the fee from the Italian’s transfer.

Barcelona and Liverpool are reportedly keen to lure Alessandro Bastoni away from Serie A.

However, the 26-year-old has no interest in leaving San Siro and is looking to extend his contract instead.

Meanwhile, Cristian Chivu’s charges are already preparing for a worst-case scenario.

Indeed, they’ve slapped a €70 million price tag on their in-demand center-back.

Furthermore, they’re ready to use the cash from Bastoni’s potential sale to strengthen their squad.

Roma midfielder Manu Kone sits at the top of Beppe Marotta’s shortlist.

However, the Frenchman won’t come cheap. Indeed, the Giallorossi have named a substantial €40 million asking price for the 24-year-old.

Still, Kone is likely to become Inter’s first summer signing in case they sell Bastoni.

Moreover, the Nerazzurri would invest a portion of the transfer fee in the arrival of Guglielmo Vicario to replace the outgoing Yann Sommer.

Finally, they will pursue a versatile forward, as Chivu aims to change his formation next season.
