Barcelona have a clear plan to sign Alessandro Bastoni from Inter Milan this summer, convince the player first, then open talks with the club, and according to reports from Spain, that first step is already largely complete.
According to Sport, via FCInterNews, Bastoni is leaning toward accepting Barcelona’s offer and would not consider any other destination if he leaves Inter.
The Catalans sent him a draft contract around two months ago, making clear he represented a key strategic signing.
His current deal at Inter runs until 2028 and pays him around €7 million per season including bonuses, a figure Barcelona are prepared to exceed significantly.
A meeting between Inter’s directors and Bastoni’s agent Tullio Tinti took place last Monday to clarify the situation.
From that meeting, it emerged that formal negotiations between the two clubs should begin after the international break.
Barcelona Confident Bastoni ‘Yes’ Will Strengthen Their Negotiating Position With Inter Milan
Barcelona’s logic is straightforward.
With Bastoni’s personal agreement secured, they eliminate competition from other clubs.
And, indeed, place Inter in a difficult position.
The Nerazzurri must accept a meaningful offer now, or risk losing him for nothing in two years.
The Catalans always manage wage costs carefully, but they view Bastoni as a strategic exception worth making.
A player exchange could also form part of any deal structure, giving Barcelona a mechanism to lower the cash element of the fee.
Sport’s conclusion is unambiguous, Bastoni is practically convinced he will sign for Barcelona.
The reality is if Inter continue to play in a back 3,Bastoni is not for sale.If the coach is switching to a back 4 next season,Sell Him for Minimum 80m.Ferran Torres could be a good inclusion in the deal plus 50m cash.
Fast forward to italy coming back from the states. Prefferably with the title. Sandro posting a picture of him with the family at the Duomo. Next picture – at home with his mom.
