Fresh off scoring for France in a friendly against Colombia, Inter Milan star Marcus Thuram will reportedly rejoin the squad on Tuesday.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 28-year-old will be present at tomorrow’s reunion.

Thuram has endured an underwhelming season by his standard.

Marred by recurring injuries and a lack of form, the French superstar has scored just 12 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions.

Therefore, his future is at a crossroads, with Inter reportedly contemplating a summer sale.

However, Thuram’s eye-watering €85 million release clause is likely to deter potential suitors unless the Nerazzurri agree to drop the price down.

Thuram has been particularly unimpressive in the absence of his attacking partner, Lautaro Martinez.

Indeed, the former Borussia Monchengladbach striker has failed to score in his last five Serie A outings.

Despite not scoring a league goal since early February, he returned to scoresheet on Sunday as France eased past Colombia in a friendly.

That could be a major confidence boost for the underperforming center-forward ahead of Inter’s clash against Roma.

However, with Lautaro set to return from injury, Cristian Chivu could bench Thuram in favor of prodigious Italian youngster Francesco Pio Esposito.
