Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez made a fantastic return from injury, notching a match-winning double against Roma last night.

After the game, El Toro took to Instagram to celebrate Inter’s stunning 5-2 victory at San Siro, as reported by FCInterNews.

Cristian Chivu’s side bounced back from a three-game winless Serie A run, and it was largely thanks to Lautaro Martinez.

Indeed, the 28-year-old drew first blood inside the opening 60 seconds, setting the tone for Inter’s first league victory since February.

Furthermore, he completed his first Serie A brace since a 2-0 win at Pisa in late November at the start of the second half.

Lautaro Martinez Thrilled After Inter Milan 5-2 Roma Drubbing

Lautaro has been a game-changer for Inter this season. Indeed, the Argentine striker has been the mainstay of Inter’s Scudetto chase.

With 16 goals, he is Serie A’s top scorer in 2025/26, having netted at least five more goals than any other player.

Furthermore, last night, he became the third highest-scoring Argentine player in the history of Italy’s top flight.

Indeed, only Gabriel Batistuta and Hernan Crespo have scored more Serie A goals than Lautaro’s 131.

After the game, he took to Instagram to celebrate his long-awaited comeback, saying: “Happy to be back on the field fighting alongside my teammates.”
