Lazio president Claudio Lotito will not let AC Milan and Inter Milan target Mario Gila leave the club without a fight.

According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the Biancocelesti chief is ready to accept the risk of losing the Spaniard on a free transfer next summer.

Milan and Inter are both eager to sign Mario Gila this summer.

Indeed, both clubs are on the lookout for defensive reinforcements, with the 25-year-old emerging as a tempting market opportunity.

With just over a year left to run on his contract at the Stadio Olimpico, Gila was seemingly heading toward a summer exit.

However, it appears that Lotito remains determined to make the Spanish defender’s suitors work hard to secure his signature.

Gila has been reluctant to sign a new contract in the capital, casting doubt on his long-term future at Lazio.

Still, Lotito is reportedly ready to keep the player at the club for one more season even if it means risking a free transfer next summer.

That said, Lazio could entertain offers for their in-demand star, though it may take up to €25 million to convince Lotito to sanction a sale.

In addition to Gila, Inter are also keeping a close eye on Sassuolo starlet Tarik Muharemovic.
