Benjamin Pavard has no future at Inter Milan and will move on in the summer if Marseille pass on their option to buy.
According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri will not give the French defender another chance at San Siro.
Despite joining the club as one of Europe’s finest defenders in 2023, Benjamin Pavard failed to meet expectations in Serie A.
Indeed, after two underwhelming seasons in Italy’s top flight, the 30-year-old moved to Marseille on a season-long loan last summer.
Moreover, Les Olympiens have an option to purchase the versatile defender for €15 million at the end of the season.
However, they have yet to decide whether to trigger the clause.
Inter Milan Make Final Decision on Benjamin Pavard Future Amid Marseille Uncertain Stance
Pavard has made 33 appearances across all competitions this season. Furthermore, he has amassed 18 starts in Ligue 1.
Nevertheless, Habib Beye’s side may not activate a buyout clause in their agreement with the Nerazzurri.
However, that wouldn’t change Pavard’s status at San Siro.
Manager Cristian Chivu has deemed the Frenchman surplus to requirements and will look to offload him in the summer.
Therefore, Inter will put Pavard up for sale if Marseille not to exercise the purchase option.
