Inter Milan star Hakan Calhanoglu faces another spell on the sidelines after picking up a muscle injury ahead of Sunday’s trip to Turin.
According to Inter.it, the Turkey captain underwent detailed medical examinations at the Humanitas Clinical Institute in Rozzano this morning.
Unfortunately, the test revealed a muscle strain in the player’s left leg.
Hakan Calhanoglu has endured an injury-plagued second half of the season.
Indeed, the 32-year-old has missed as many as nine Serie A matches since the calendar year flipped to 2026.
Furthermore, Cristian Chivu was unable to call upon his starting playmaker for yesterday’s 2-2 draw at Torino.
Inter Milan Star Hakan Calhanoglu Set for ANother Spell on the Sidelines
According to FCinter1908, the former AC Milan midfielder is at risk of missing the upcoming Coppa Italia final against Lazio.
Moreover, Chivu won’t have Calhanoglu at his disposal for next weekend’s home league clash against Parma.
Then, it’s questionable whether he’ll be ready for Inter’s next Serie A road trip.
Indeed, the Nerazzurri will meet Lazio in their next away league game, only four days before their Coppa Italia showdown.
Meanwhile, Calhanoglu’s recurring fitness problems have raised questions over his long-term future at San Siro amid Galatasaray’s persistent interest.
Same as Toro. Sure they play great when healthy but when they play too good they get injured. I think it’s time to replace them both…

He’s too injury prone, always the same thing, we need him fit for the final.
Again ???
Chalhanoglu, all is merits aside and we should all thank him for that, is more injured than ready to play and extending him for one more season would bring along more uncertainties and worries. He will just get older and his physique will be even more in decline. Many people might disagree, but I think he should be sold in the summer.
