Nottingham Forest are preparing a €25m bid for Davide Frattesi as Inter Milan hold out for €30m, with a €5m valuation gap now the central obstacle to a deal.
According to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Forest are readying a formal approach for the Italy midfielder as the summer window accelerates. Inter’s position remains firm: €30m or no sale.
The figures confirm a negotiation that is close but unresolved. Inter have consistently refused to discount Frattesi, and there is no indication that stance is softening ahead of this latest bid.
Frattesi’s case for an exit is well established – a season of fringe involvement, limited minutes, and an agent who has made no secret of searching for a way out. Indeed, Inter themselves are not opposed to a sale at the right price, with the midfielder under contract until 2028 and his market value unlikely to be higher than it is now.
Furthermore, this is not Forest’s first approach. The English club had already been linked with a move in January, with reports at the time suggesting discussions had progressed before Inter’s asking price ended them. A loan-and-option structure was reportedly explored in an earlier cycle, which underlines that Forest have been circling this target for some time rather than arriving cold.
Forest Return With Cash Bid As Inter’s €30m Valuation Holds Firm
Forest’s transfer approach is familiar: test the market, absorb a rejection, return with an improved offer. The same pattern played out with Santiago Giménez before that deal eventually moved forward. However, Inter’s valuation logic here is straightforward – Frattesi cost €30m from Sassuolo in 2023, his contract has three years remaining, and Italian competition from Roma and Napoli gives Inter leverage to hold their number.
Juventus have also been linked with a move, adding further pressure on any club that wants to delay. Therefore, Forest must close the gap to €30m if they are serious – Inter have no reason to move first.
Jus get that 25m and run, what are you waiting for.
AI is fckn useless. Unbelievable that people are losing their jobs to this AI shite.
andrea bocelli and intermilan fan legend killed it with his DNA official FIFA song
And I say, “Hey, anche se cadiamo poi noi ci rialziamo
It’s more than just a game, it’s our DNA”
Yeah, 또 넘어져도, 난 또다시 일어나
This is more than just a game, it’s our DNA
I hope we sell Frattesi to get Curtis Jones or (and) Manu Kone.
But… what is the deal with this picture? Inter jersey with Emirates sponsor and… Milan’s logo? 😀
one reason serie A is a poorer league is that clubs like Atalanta ask for extra money selling to a serie A club. This will likely cause another quality serie A player to leave Italy (Palestra) to go to a bigger club. He will be lost to Italy just as Tonali is.
ATALANTA TRANSFER POLICY is making serie A worse. There should be a serie A rule that prohibits clubs asking for more $$$ if the buying club is in serie A. If people want serie A to improve then we have to keep our better players and brightest prospects. If you want serie A to compete on a level playing field then you need to keep the transfer fees level as well.
ATALANTA PULL YOUR HEADS IN. YOU ARE HURTING SERIE A.
