Inter Milan and Liverpool have reportedly reached a verbal agreement over a €35 million package for Curtis Jones, with the midfielder expected to undergo a medical as the move progresses.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Jones has also agreed personal terms with the Serie A club. Anfield Index reported that the 25-year-old’s proposed transfer is moving towards completion.

Football Italia reported that Liverpool had given Jones permission to travel for his Inter medical. The report followed news of the verbal agreement between the clubs.

Reported €35m Agreement

Inter’s pursuit of Jones has developed throughout the summer, with the Italian club identifying the Liverpool academy graduate as a midfield target. Earlier reporting indicated that Jones wanted the move, with negotiations between the clubs determining whether a deal could be reached.

Liverpool had previously sought a figure closer to €40m, while Inter continued to push towards a deal around €35m. Romano’s latest information indicated that the difference had been resolved through the reported €35m agreement.

Jones’ Liverpool contract is due to expire in 2027, making his contractual position a factor in the negotiations. He has found it difficult to secure regular first-team football consistently, despite his experience across domestic and European competition.

His ability to operate across several midfield roles has provided Liverpool with useful depth. With a club agreement reportedly reached, personal terms settled and a medical expected, the next step is completing the proposed move to Inter.
