First comments fo Stefano Pioli after the defeat against Genoa:
Tough loss with a lot of protests from the fans. Can you understand them? “That people are disappointed is normal and understandable, our results right now are bad. We can do better, today we played a game that meant not taking too many risks. But if you get opportunities and don’t score things get difficult. If we would have taken advantage of those opportunities the match would have changed. Now we go home woth 0 points”.
Are you still in control of the situation? “We are all convinced that we can do better. Now we will work hard in order to get back to winning games, something that we haven’t done in a while now.”.
Why did you sub Icardi? “Because I wanted to change something in the offensive phase, with fresh attackers in the final minutes. From what I saw, the attack didn’t move as I wanted them to do, so I threw in fresh legs in order to make it harder for our opponents”.
When Veloso made his shot the defence wasn’t there, not paying attention has been quite regular now what can you improve? “We are working hard on the pitch in order to correct previous errors. We failed in pushing down, Kondogbia was following Rigoni that needed a lot of attention from our central players. Then they get this shot from 25 meters and we failed and were a bit unfortunate. If Andreolli wouldn’t have slipped maybe the situation is over after the shot”.
How come the first period of your coaching at Inter was so smooth and now things have changed? Is it because the midfield-attack? “Also today we controlled the match, our opponetnts expected that and we tight in their marking. We should have moved more in the non-possessive play, we should have been more patient. The few times we succeded we created some problems for Genoa. We have to move more in order to find better solutions, some positions have to be corrected”
.You shouldn’t have changed something in the model? “We don’t have the players for a 4-3-3, today we played with two attackers closer than normal in order to put pressure and be in the box. This was the best gameplan and it gave us some opportunities which, should we have scored, would have changed the game”.
Ausilio said that he was happy with your work, are these words that give you confidence? “I see some important things for the future. But we have stay focused on the present, we are disappointed with the last results and have to work harder in order to get back on the right path”.

You idiot. You place Eder, the most non creative player in a play maker position when you have Banega and Mario on the bench. That’s why the attack wasn’t doing anything you fool. No one was feeding Icardi the ball. Then you take off Icardi for Palacio like thats even better. At least we saw Gabi but you put him out of his position. And why was Candreva the PK taker, it should have been Palacio at least. Your subs and line-up make no sense. Just quit the damn team. I wish Mancini was still here, he at least got us to 4th and we were at the top of the table at one point. Idk who’s worse, you or De Boer you can’t even beat the small teams and we’re in the same shit from the beginning of the season. Your a freakin joke. rant ended
Team losing 1-0 huh am take of my main goal scorer n captain n replace him with someone who hasnt scored in 35 years its brilliant what could go wrong
enough is enough, man. Please GET OUT!!
It looks like we might loose the rest of our games if things go on like this
Pioli seems desperate to get fired? Candreva is played with no regard to performance. Nagatomo is suddenly played four games in a rowe, despite being lousy and costing important goals. Banega and Joao Mario, basically the two only players with any resemblance of a football brain are mostly benched. Gabigoal is completely ignored. He apparently even offered his resignation. So what does it take he thinks. I know. I’ll just pull out Icardi – I’m sure old man Palacio will do much better. Sigh….
this team is out of Pioli’s hands- amazingly we still have hopes to reach EL but we need to pull results. i can’t believe we just can’t win a game even with lower opponents.
Pioli doesn’t have guts to criticize or subbing Candreva, tells bullshit about Icardi. That’s so funny
I don’t think it’s all the players… I think there are a few that are causing problems, and pioli isn’t strong enough to keep them in check.
Yea the croats and the Brazilians don’t seem to be in it, no heart just mercenaries. I say sell them all.
Candreva may waste a little but at least he’s in it to win it and is Italian/an Inter fan… at he’s not spoiled like brozovic and periscic absolutely terrible period of form/concentration… even before he got injured do you remember how many him v goalie he guarined?? Kmon guys let’s be fair the Croats have been poor, Miranda has been poor… just keep the guys who have fight and offload the guys who are so professional they are sterile.
Keep Murillo please he’s a leader, keep icardi, keep banega… the rest? Who cares
Candreva??? R u fucking serious he missed 2 chance to score n he cant cross to save his fucking life he should fucking have h8s contract terminated n b chase out of milan
HAHAHAHAHA
at least we never relegated to serie b and did calciopoli
nah, with these results Inter deserves to be relegated, I think.
“and did calciopoli”
Ehm, yeah, you did.
Also;
HAHAHAHAHA
I want to blame Pioli, but when I see that professional players can’t stop the ball, when Perisic has no desire, when they just keep waiting for the ball, what can any coach do. It’s necessary to offload majority of the bitches
I feel you bro although I still don’t believe Pioli is ready for a big club. But you’re right these players have shitty attitudes and most don’t deserve to wear our shirt. I think we need to look at the players we bring in not only at they skill, but also from the mental and behavior aspects.
Perisic did everything today, he’s wasting his career here
he did nothing how many chances created….
A clear cut scoring chance created in the first half, got a penalty on a scissor kick in the second.
And now time to look at the other players, just look how that fucking Candreva loses and sabotages our plays every fucking time he touches the ball. Look at Eder, a Serie B player! And Palacio who can’t play football anymore.
Gabi, Kono, Icardi and Perisic are the only guys who still care about this shirt.
The coach can utilize players that desire to play. That every starter in the team knows that they will lose their spot if they don’t perform. Pussioli has given the opposite sign to the players.
Puts Eder as a main creative midfielder responsible for transitioning the ball from midfield to attack and then wonders how come we aren’t creating chances and blames Icardi. Great fucking attitude mate.
Fuck you Pioli! Just fucking resign!
You and your lover Ausilio should leave asap. Even some random dude from the street could do a better job than you two retards.
Ausilio is a cancer as well. He should be the first one to go. Just bring oriali to be a sporting director. Ausilio ruined the chance to offload these dickheads for two years already.
Leonardo instead Ausilio 😀
Leonardo or Sabatini. Oriali is fine also.
They are all excellent, who has ausilio really purchased?
Leonardo, he was good. he talk so much about Inter at media, seems he has some Idea and want to do something for Inter.
What the fuck can Ausilio do?
Bring in Mario, Banega, and Gabigol so Pussioli plays Palacio??!!
Ausilio cannot say that we are firing a coach until they actually do it.
Banega is good for free, but what have been his great purchases? Perisic, Miranda and Murillo are the best since 2014 when he came. He hasn´t really found any cheap or reasonably priced players that have become gems. Those players mentioned above are even most likely guys that Mancini picked. It´s hard to say if Ausilio has any nose to find the right players.
This is debatable, but I think he should have been able to persuade the chinese owners before the start of the season to spend on defenders or at least fullbacks instead of Mario and Gabigol. I like JM, but we already had Banega… He just seems either like a weak DS or a guy who just is not on the required level.
Ausilio has been quite bad at selling our bad players. At the same time he has done quite questionable contract renewals. We will possibly be stuck with many mediocre players for a long time unless we pay them out like Melo
Meanwhile Roma, Napoli and Juve, even Lazio have done much better job. They don´t always get it right, but at least they don´t start every year from year zero like us.
Next summer we will see what he´s truly made of as I think he won´t be fired. But I doubt he can persuade players to join us like let´s say Leonardo could.
Hey man, EVERYbody in the planet knows our fullback sucks. The problem is not the fact that we have been neglecting it. It is PLAIN and SIMPLE. We have SO many fullback on the roster, and we cannot have 8 fullback on our 25 men roster.
EVERY freaking window, Ausilio works his ass off trying to unload these shitty fullbacks. What happens is the fact that Ausilio finds EPL teams for Santon, and he fails the medical. What’s Ausilio fault in that?
Or he finds EPL interest for Shitidomo (that’s just pure magic), and Nagashit refuses to go.
Then we had to deal with Dodo, Miangue, and DiMarco, and Erkin.
The ONLY solution is for Suning to man up, and release these shitty players, it might send a negative message to our new recruits (cause releases RARELY happens) but that is our ONLY shot.
Blame Ausilio as much as you want, but he was the only useful man in Inter management. If we lose him, AC Milan, Juventus, or Roma will gladly pick him up.
You have a valid point about his struggles in offloading deadwood. It is not probably all his fault. I´d just want to see a big name DS taking the reins. But Ausilio will get his chance this summer no matter how much I blame him that´s for sure.
Actually his contract is finishing and I haven’t heard about any renewals yet. The truth is Ausilio landed on Branca’s ruins. Pareira, Jonathan, Scheletto, Belfodil, Taider, and on and on and on…
I list SOME of his achievements:
– Selling Guarin to China
– Selling Kova for 30m
– Selling Shaquiri for no loss after his unsuccessful spell
– Buying Perisic for only 17m
– Getting Banega for free
– Signing Murillo for 4m
– Selling JJ for 11m
– Shipping off Pareira
– Loaning out Rano and JoJo
Gabigol was Suning’s intention to show off to the fans, I don’t put it on Ausilio, but I don’t think we overpaid for him anyways, cause if we didn’t someone from EPL would had paid that some. If Coutinho worth 80m, then 30m is justifiable for Gabigol’s talent.
But who’s fault is Ansaldi and Erkin if we talk about fullbacks. If you credit Murillo, Banega and Perisic to Ausilio and not to Mancini then surely the aforementioned two are Ausilio’s mistakes? It’s very hard to pinpoint what player is Macini’s and what player is Ausilio’s. Of course Ausilio did the negotiating and Mancini convincing. If we don’t get a big name coach can Ausilio convince the players like Mancini did? JJ to Roma was a really good piece of business by Ausilio btw.
About Gabigol, I would be pleasantly surprised if he ever justifies his current paycheck and price. But again we see his talent so differently that neither one of us can’t really convince the other about his view. Let’s just agree that we disagree about him.
And Ausilio renewed until 2020 not so long ago:

Was getting injury prone Santon that we can’t get rid of Macini’s or Ausilio’s fault? I’m not trying to piss you off with these examples, but to say Ausilio has had his share creating some of our current problems. You can’t credit him just the good stuff and excuse him from the bad ones.
Who are the young talents Ausilio has found? I remembered this interview of Mancini’s son. It would suggest Murillo was Manicini’s scouting and I remember it was a kind of consensus when Murillo was bought that he was all Mancini:

If you think Ausilio convinced Banega to come you are way off track. It was Mancini. What are Ausilio’s merits as DS besides negotiating and trying to sell?
