Luciano Spalletti as Inter’s new coach is practically a done deal. Tomorrow it will be official together with Walter Sabatini arriving from China. On Wednesday or Thursday they both will be presented. La Gazzetta dello Sport explains what will happen now: “The team will travel to Riscone di Brunico on July 6th and will stay there until the 16th. But Spalletti probably wants to meet the team for a couple of days in a pre-ritiro at Appiano Gentile in order to get to know the players. After that, 10 days in Val Pusteria with intense and hard work. The plan is to start the pre-season with a high athletical intensity in order for the team to be more than ready when the championship starts again in August. Until the end of January 2018 Inter’s only objective is the championship, after that the Coppa Italia will become an additional objective of 2018”.
But don’t forget that there will be three games against Lyon, Bayern Monaco and Chelsea in this year’s International Champions Cup. “But it is not impossible that Spalletti will travel to China before that in order to get to know Inter patron Zhang Jindong”.

He’s already involved. He’s going to train this team to mid season ability come opening day because he wants to show the rest of Serie A we are serious.
Not what I meant. Pioli also had the full suport when it came to changing training scedules when he came in from one training pas a day til two, and when he wanted to hold the press conference 2 days before the game in stead of the more common 1 day before, he also got full support, but when the result startet to go against him he didn’t get any support and he never got to buy the players HE wanted – except Gagliardini!
I hope the club stands by Spalla also when results goes against us and let him buy and sell the players HE wants and needs!
