Beware of a Spalletti surprise tonight, at least according to La Gazzetta dello Sport who confirms the possibility of an iron midfield with Gagliardini playing together with Borja Valero and Matias Vecino as today’s winner of who will play trequartista behind Mauro Icardi since Marcelo Brozovic is injured. Borja Valero could be the tactical weapon in order to be responsible for pressing on Biglia and also be the one taking outside shots.
This is the probable formation:
INTER (4-2-3-1): Handanovic; D’Ambrosio, Skriniar, Miranda, Nagatomo; Gagliardini, Borja Valero; Candreva, Vecino, Perisic; Icardi.

Starting Nagatomo over Dalbert for this game will be a mistake. Also, Mario should be handed the AM role.
Why? Naga has more experience in big games, and has the pace to keep up with suso. And Mario can’t shoot and has been deadly coming off the bench. Believe in spalletti
Only the coach knows if Dalbert is nervous. IMO Dalbert shows signs of nervousness. He will grow out of it. Maybe starting him is too risky. Especially if Peresic isn’t planning to support.
I believe in Spalletti’s formation… Let’s win this and move to 2nd. Good luck to the team…
Gabigol scored a great goal yesterday, that’s good for his confidence…
Think the article is mixing up names here: if Vecino is playing as an attacking mid, he would be the one putting pressour on Milans defensive regista, Biglia, not our own defensive regista Borja.
About playing Vecino in that position- I definitely think it could work as he knows how to run, tackle, man mark, pas the ball and long shooting but also will be willing to back track.
And we all know about Mario’s “succes” as an attacking mid.
Sure , JM wouldmake for a better impact as a substitute. That is only if the game is at a balance in the 2nd.
