After having watched his Inter draw 1-1 at home against Torino in front of more than 71,000 spectators at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district, a somewhat disappointed Nerazzurri coach stopped by Premium Sport to analyze the match.
“This draw leaves a bit of a bitter taste in our mouths, even though we missed a lot of our dribbling and dropped a lot of balls during the build-up phase. However we managed to get back on track during a tough period of the game and could even have won it” Spalletti began.
The former Roma coach continued that “unfortunately these things happen but all-in-all it was a good point against a good team. Icardi was also good today, he had a couple of chances where he usually does better but he was affected by a minor injury that happened early in the game.”
In conclusion Spalletti commented on Vecino’s performance and hit shot that hit the bar stating that “he did his job and was a bit unlucky not to score on his incredible shot.”
My sentiments exactly…last season’s inter would have gone down 2-0 or 3-0 after conceding when we did..with that being said we had enough opportunities to put this game to rest particularly with vecino and icardi but one point is probably what we deserved in the end.
