Will Inter star attacker and captain Mauri Icardi be able to play in the next game against Genoa after being sidelined the last two games due to an injury? That is the question.
In the meantime there are a lot of voices and opinions about the Argentinian’s future at Inter. A future that depends on this Summer’s World Cup, at least according to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport who reports that “The World Cup in Russia could be the scene where Icardi could get his breakthrough after a long stint of seasons with numerous goals without any concrete international acknowledgement.”
“At 25 years of age Icardi wants to prove that he has a market value of €200 million, making him one of the biggest in football. Will he continue to wear the Inter jersey? Of course, the Suning empire does not want to loose its Pharao of football, but it all comes down to Inter qualifying for next year’s Champions League. In Madrid, Real awaits Icardi with open arms, although nothing points to Cristiano Ronaldo being about to wind down” the Corriere dello Sport concludes.
Sell Icardi and get 100 millions at least plus Kovacic. Having a midfield of Rafinha and Kovacic with the adding of 2-3 50 millions players except Kovacic we would have a team that Spalleti could easily get Serie A with. And the toxic players such as Brozovic have to go asap this summer!
Ascenio + 70 mil
wheres the player like Zanetti, Giggs, Totti, Maldini..or even Buffon nowadays….?
even the fans will leave so easely..
all i see is business, not football…sad
For a 24 y.o captain striker who consistently scores 20-25+ goals per season, he should be commanding at least 130m in today’s market! And we know Madrid has that kind of cash to spend. And we know they want to look beyond Benzema.
Although I’m convinced we’ll make it to the top 4 this season, I still want to see him be sold. We can really use the cash and some smart signings.
Cash plus smart signings. Sign me up for that.
If it comes to us selling Skriniar or Icardi, I’d offload Maurito. But please anything at 110m or below is too low in today’s market. We should only consider +150m before any bonuses and greedy agent fees!
True, finding an attacker would be easier than trying to find a good CB for Inter.
200 mil plus Kovacic…I’d consider it.
Sentimentality aside I would rather try to get our hands om Isco or Asensio in a deal for Icardi with Real Madrid. So 150mn+Isco or 170mn+Asensio would be very welcome. But first things first we need to renew Icardi’s contract to increase his clause so we don’t lose him for a ‘measly’ 110mn…
they will never sell Isco or Asensio,
I’d take Isco + 40 to be real.
