One of the positive aspects of the weekends Serie A clash for Inter against Torino was that Ivan Perisic is back and not only because of the goal he scored against Torino as Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport reports.
According to the report the despite playing 90 minutes against Torino he still is in a condition where he has to be a bit cautious but Inter know that Ivan will really be “terrible” when he is back at 100%: “He is continuing to prove himself very useful. And this summer’s World Cup adventure has stopped him from any thoughts of last year when he during the summer transfer window was connected to making a move to Manchester United and he proved his loyalty to Inter by signing a new contract.
“And now the team is speaking Croatian since, after the arrival of Sime Vrsaljko, Croatia is the second most represented country in the group. Perisic is a man for all seasons and all modules, whether it is 4-2-3-1 or 3-4-2-1. Ivan does not move from his area where he lets his let foot speak. He came on as a sub against Sassuolo and made an impression although he was not back at his highest level. Then a starting player against Torino where he gave the best response possible with a goal, a pity though that Inter could not close out the game, a bit like last season where Inter’s poor form affected Perisic as well. But this year the World Cup in Russia has made Ivan come off to a good start and the Croat has played well as he has to in order for this Inter to perform well” Corriere dello Sport concludes.
