Mauro Icardi has spoken on the importance of this Friday’s Derby D’Italia against Juventus to him and for all of the Inter world.

“This is far from the first time I have played against Juventus, but it is the most important one that is for sure. It is for me, and it is for the entire Inter community,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport after winning the player of the year award at their Gazzetta Sports Award ceremony.

The Argentine striker then went on to speak about coming up against multi-time world player of the year Cristiano Ronaldo.

“I can not wait to play against Cristiano Ronaldo, it will be a pleasure having him ahead but at the end of the day he is not my problem. Stefan de Vrij and Milan Skriniar are there to handle CR7.”

Icardi has been in fine form as of late and has scored 11 goals in 16 appearances across all competitions.
