Sandro Mazzola was interviewed by tuttomercatoweb.com about the last week’s main event in Inter: Marco Branca’s farewell to Inter. Unlike the majority of Inter fans, Mazzola doesn’t understand why the technical director had to leave Inter.
Mazzola, we start with Branca’s farewell. Did you expect that?
“Honestly, no, not at all because I don’t understand the reason why. I think he has done a good job in recent years.”
Do you think he’s paying for the sensational swap with Juventus that did not materialize, Guarin for Vucinic?
“We need to find out if it really was a bad deal to do. According to my opinion it was a fair swap. I don’t like Guarin, he’s a good player but not a champion.”
Lately there has also been talk about a problematic relationship between Walter Mazzarri and Javier Zanetti.
“Honestly, I don’t believe it. I know Zanetti and don’t think he’s the type that creates problems for Inter, which is the club that took him from being an unknown to a great player. Inter has been his fortune just like he has been fortunate for the club. Zanetti is an example of professionalism for many young players and it’s nice to see that he still wants to play even though he is no longer young.”

hahahaha the comment make me laugh.. ..good ezzio
What! Are you drunk Mazzola…..wich dimension have you been in since 2010? I think it’s mostly Brancas fault we are where we are……he was the sport director and he could have stood he’s ground and suggested the sale of a couple of old stars after the treble to rebuild a ageing squad just like Chelsea have done…..for example….selling Milito, Motta, Etoo stankovic and Julio Cesar would hav bought us a whole new squad of upcoming stars and not a squad of old and second hand players we have now…..they are ok but not really worthy of wearing the Inter Jersey……so Branca was Inters biggest enemy and then we have FFP and FASSONE!
The juventino can shout all he wants. At the end of the day all juve will ever be remembered for is the scandals. No many how many stars they manage to put on that zebra shirt, they will never cover the cheater stain.
Branca’s top 10: 1 Mourinho, 2 Eto’o-Ibrahimovic, 3 Cambiasso, 4 Figo, 5 Maicon, 6 Cesar, 7 Milito + Motta, 8 Lucio, 9 Sneijder, 10 Samuel
Half of them were not Branca..
You are one of the greatest transfer gurus in Inter History. You were capable of listening to a great coach aka Mourinho who can pick quality players and you got him exactly what he asked for because if you had to pick quality players by yourself you would screw up this team royally like you have been doing since 2010. Anyone with any decent quality you have sold and the only players left are the ones inter overpaid for and nobody wants. The team now consists of scraps and leftovers and with your help is a mid-level team with no hope of making champions league in the immediate future. You have sold many of your youth players and given up on so many too simply because you have accepted that your new coach cannot develop talent. You have done an excellent job on the transfer market. Ranocchia for 19 mill, 11 mill for Perreyra, 6 mill for Silvestre, let’s not forget the acquisitions of Maniche, Schelotto, Mudinguay, you brought Schelotto and he wasn’t even called to try out for the team, your forlan-zarate experiment failed, when you were short a striker, you called Ruud Van Nisteroy and tried to sign John Carew only for him to fail his physical and to be replaced with Tomasso Rocchi. You make Marotta laugh everyday because he signed Pogba-Llorente for 1 million and they are not worth more than your starting lineup week in and week out. You have been an Ambassador of soccer for the Inter Organization – you restored this team to a level many remember from the past – a mid card team what has yet to win a game this year and has not won a game in the last 9! Good work Branca, in Torino your work will always be appreciated 🙂
bla bla bla bla thats all i see in ur comment.
Why do you spend so much of your time writing crap like this?
y’all gotta remember he went after the players coaches pick and scout that’s his job he doesn’t pick the players…. coaches ask for them… can’t blame him or give him too much credit he just goes out and does his job like professional is supposed to do
Juve played really well in the Champions League this year. Hopefully you guys can avoid a group with Copenhagen next time around. You guys should try winning the treble sometime. Yeah, we already did that. Not sure if you remember. You guys were probably busy signing Sissoko, Poulson, Iaquinta, Melo. How does it feel to be in the Serie B though?
Sissoko, Poulson, Iaquinta, Melo.is better than Schelotto, Silvestre, Ranocchia, Rocchi and Perreyra that’s fer sure! If only Farsopoli was happening today Inter might be a top tier team but unless that happens once again Juventus will dominate serie a for years to come. How does it feel to have to “qualify” for Coppa Italia? I mean let’s face it….it’s the only shot inter has at winning a trophy this season but with them out of Coppa Italia and Inter bowing out of the Coppa Tim, how many trophies will Inter win this year?? If you talk about the treble just remember that the best team in Europe did not have 1 player on the Italian National team in 2010 and ZERO players on the 2014 team but just remember, to win that treble put inter so badly in debt they acquired a new owner who promised big spending but I must remind you on inter’s new policy “we must sell before we buy” good luck paying off your debt by selling players like Schelotto, Silvestre, Ranocchia, and Perreyra because if Sneijder is worth 7.5 mill…..what are all these pieces of junk worth? who would sell Sneijder to buy Silvestre and keep enough money to pay his salary for 1 year!! Hire Jean-Claude Blanc as Marco Branca’s replacement!!!!!!!!
do you really mean to be a troll here?? I suggest you to come to goal.com.. ok??
