Inter Milan could reportedly try to sign Bayern Munich center-back Dayot Upamecano to replace veteran star Francesco Acerbi.

According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the Frenchman will become a free agent at the end of the season.

Dayot Upamecano has entered the final year of his contract in Munich.

However, the record-time Bundesliga champions are reluctant to let the Frenchman leave on a free transfer.

On the contrary, ‘they will do everything’ to renew his deal.

Despite his past struggles, Upamecano has become Bayern’s defensive cornerstone under VIncent Kompany.

Indeed, the former RB Leipzig defender has overtaken Kim Min-jae in the pecking order.

Furthermore, he has established himself as a regular starter for France.

Therefore, Inter cannot expect to lure him to San Siro without putting in a massive effort to convince him to leave Germany.

However, it would be a classic Beppe Marotta move, not to mention what an upgrade he would be on Francesco Acerbi.
