Inter Milan legend Giuseppe Bergomi believes his old club are “not the strongest” in Serie A, backing Napoli to lift the Scudetto once again.
Speaking to Il Resto del Carlino, with quotes via FCInterNews, Bergomi said that “Inter have been good in recent years but they’re not the strongest.”
“After four seasons with the same squad, it will be tough to stay at the top,” he added.
Bergomi played for Inter for two decades, amassing 756 appearances in all competitions.

The former Inter defender offered his thoughts on the favourites to lift the Scudetto.
“Napoli seems to me to be the best-equipped team,” he decided, “but a lot will depend on their Champions League campaign.”
Last season, Napoli’s lack of European football gave them the fitness to power through in the league.
Meanwhile, Inter reached the final of the Champions League and were engaged on multiple fronts.
Napoli currently top the table, winning all three of their opening games after a strong summer.
Inter, meanwhile, have won just once so far this season and face Sassuolo at San Siro on Sunday.
