Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram addressed the press ahead of Tuesday’s blockbuster Champions League clash against Liverpool.
During the pre-match conference via FCInterNews, the Frenchman confirmed he is ready to help his team after injury.
After netting a match-winning double in a 5-1 Coppa Italia rout of Venezia, Marcus Thuram returned to the scoresheet in Serie A on Saturday.
Indeed, the French star scored in Inter’s outstanding 4-0 home win over Como, marking his first league goal since September.
Thuram suffered a nasty hamstring injury against Slavia Prague in late September.
However, he has recently regained full fitness.
Furthermore, he has demonstrated that a lengthy spell on the sidelines has done little to dampen his sharpness.
With the 28-year-old back in shape, Cristian Chivu is likely to partner him up with Lautaro Martinez tomorrow.
Yet, there’s also a chance for Ange-Yoan Bonny to start alongside El Toro after recovering from illness.
Inter Milan Star Marcus Thuram Ready to Help His Side vs Liverpool

Asked whether he considers himself among the world’s top five strikers, Thuram replied: “At the moment, I don’t think so.
“But I work to be the best version of myself. It’s not for me to say the rankings or whether I’m in the top five.”
Meanwhile, he also offered an update on his current fitness condition.
“I’m fine, that’s a dangerous question… I’ve recovered really well, and I’m ready to help the team.”
However, he doesn’t see Inter as the odds-on favorites against Liverpool.
“I don’t think so,” Thuram added. “Matches are individual moments. We will face a team of champions who, when challenged, want to prove themselves.
“Everyone says this is the right time to face Liverpool, but that’s not necessarily true.
“We’ll face a great team. We’ll try to do what we’ve been doing, add something extra, and then we’ll see.”
Still, Thuram claims he doesn’t know why Inter have been unable to beat top teams this season.
“I don’t know. Since I’ve been here, we’ve won plenty. Matches, as I said, are made of moments.
“Anything can happen. We’ve been missing something since the start of the season, but we know what we need to improve.”
Then, he compared tomorrow’s clash against games against Barcelona and Bayern Munich last season.
“Those matches were further along in the competition. San Siro will be packed as always, but it won’t be the same atmosphere.
“It will be a dream. Seeing San Siro full will be amazing.
“I hope we can improve in everything. That’s the beauty of football. I also hope I can improve in every aspect myself,” Thuram concluded.
