When Ange-Yoan Bonny arrived at Inter Milan from Parma in the summer, questions surrounded his lack of top-flight experience and the €25 million fee paid for a player with just one Serie A campaign behind him.

Four months later, those doubts have disappeared.

The young French forward has already scored four goals and provided three assists, seamlessly filling the void left by Marcus Thuram’s injury and emerging as one of Cristian Chivu’s most reliable attacking options.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport put it, Bonny has featured in every match so far across all competitions and can now be considered “the best signing of the year.”

His combination of strength, pace, and intelligence has impressed fans and staff alike, while his calm temperament belies his age.

The Milanese daily also noted that Bonny’s market value has already doubled, with clubs across Europe taking notice of his performances.

“Those €25 million spent in the summer have already at least doubled,” wrote La Gazzetta.

“It’s hard to believe he’s only 22, given the authority, power, and maturity he shows on the pitch. And when you think about how many top clubs are still searching for a striker, you wonder – how many in Europe have one of this level as their twelfth man?”

With the Frenchman’s rise continuing, Inter appear to have found not just a backup — but a future pillar of their attack.
