Felix Zwayer made a horror show in last night’s Champions League showdown between Inter Milan and Liverpool.
According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the German’s decision was ‘scandalous and ridiculous.’
Inter Milan suffered a narrow 1-0 home loss to the Reds, compromising their chances of securing a coveted top-eight finish.
Indeed, after winning their first four Champions League games under Cristian Chivu, the Nerazzurri have now lost twice in a row.
After a last-minute defeat to Atletico Madrid, they dropped three more points against Liverpool yesterday.
Felix Zwayer Blasted for Dubious Penalty Call in Inter Milan 0-1 Liverpool Loss

When it looked like Inter and Liverpool would share the spoils, Felix Zwayer decided to take matters into his own hands.
Despite initially refusing to award a penalty for Alessandro Bastoni’s soft foul on Florian Wirtz, he changed his mind after consulting with the VAR booth.
Zwayer pointed to the spot after reviewing the incident on the side-pitch monitor, condemning Inter to another heartbreaking loss.
However, his controversial decision has not gone unnoticed, drawing widespread criticism.
Thats why Inzaghi implemented that system so their wouldnt be any controversies. The players have all said it before Chivu wants all his players to be more aggressive. So congratulations on your loss it was well deserved. Marotta is to blame for choosing an inexperienced coach and average players. What is Inter’s exact goal at the moment? Thats why Juventus got rid of him because he is a damn fool and its about time he leaves. Go and suck at another club. Acerbi is another decision he got wrong Inter should have bought another centerback. These mistakes are too obvious and its clear he is not capable of leading a big club again. Its time for Piero Ausilio to take over Marotta have made too many mistakes and should leave the club.
He’s a damn fool and that’s why Juventus got rid of him? Really? Look at Juventus with Marotta vs without Marotta. With Marotta, total dominance of Serie A for years. Without Marotta, I mean, just look at Juve now. It’s night and day. Are you sure that Marotta is a fool?
Also, look at Inter’s finances. First time in years that the club made a profit and still remains competitive despite losing the big games.
If Inter was risking a top 4 finish in Serie A (remains to be seen, but for now it looks like Inter is in the title race) and if Inter was not even close to the top 8 (we’re still in there btw) in the CL I would completely understand what you’re saying. However, your alarmism doesn’t match reality.
players don’t get away with it… but referees and especially VAR officials are ruining the game with their decisions.
