Serie A giants Inter Milan have reportedly set their sights on Krasnodar playmaker Eduard Spertsyan.

According to FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri have identified the 25-year-old as a potential long-term replacement for Henrik Mkhitaryan.

With less than a year left to run on his contract at San Siro, Mkhitaryan could leave Inter at the end of the season.

Indeed, the Serie A leaders have yet to offer the former Roma star a new deal, suggesting they’re ready to sever ties with him.

However, Inter cannot afford to lose Henrikh Mkhitaryan without replacing him with a top-class player.

Spertsyan, who graduated from Krasnodar’s youth academy in 2018, has become one of the best players in the Russian Premier League.

With eight goals and 13 assists, he has taken Russia’s top flight by storm this season, earning broad plaudits for his performances.

Indeed, several European juggernauts, including Paris Saint-Germain, have taken note of Spertsyan’s quality.

Yet, Krasnodar president Sergey Galitsky is not enthusiastic about selling his standout performer.

Therefore, Inter will likely have to submit a compelling offer to convince Krasnodar to part with their star midfielder.
