well, Branca was our transfer “guru” back then and therefor responsible for selling and buying – not Mazza (whom I hate the shit out of!). Branca got sacked in feb. 2014 so yeah, he was around when Cassano was shiped of in the summer of 2013!

Yes Mazzari didn’t want Cassano. Actually, Cassano has some good time with Mazzari at Samp, even Cassano once praised Mazzari coaching ability. but its deteriorate quickly. That also happen with Stramacioni at Inter, their relations starts on very well months later those two reported fighting in the locker room . Basically almost every single coach has problem with him.
