Today’s edition of the Gazzetta dello Sport once again speculates about Inter’s January market. According to the paper, Roberto Mancini has proved himself to be the fresh breath of air the club had been hoping for, and therefore, the club hierarchy are looking to help him by making moves on the market. Speaking before the match against Lazio, Chief Sport Officer Piero Ausilio had expressed the club’s willingness to appease the coach in the upcoming transfer market.
On this front, the newspaper states that Roberto Mancini has requested two names: Alessio Cerci and Ezequiel Lavezzi. However, the club is dependent on the ‘loan with the right to purchase’ formula. Therefore, contingency plans that are in place are linked to Hatem Ben Arfa, Andre Ayew, and Mohamed Salah. Mario Balotelli remains as an unpopular choice whilst Lucas Leiva of Liverpool, who has an Italian passport, is deemed to be the perfect player to strengthen the midfield.

I don’t like Cerci, he’s not that good and Simeone saw it right away and that’s why he can’t get any playing time. Lavezzi is a very good player but he is old and he wants a big salary. Still he would be very good reinforcement for Inter. As for Lucas Leiva, he is defensive midfielder, Inter doesn’t need that kind of a player. Ben Harfa is skilfull but he’s to selfish, Salah is out of shape probably because he didn’t play for a long time. Ayew is the name I like, he would certianly be a good reinforcement.
As much as I don’t approve of lucas, we need a midfielder; medel can’t do everything on his own (M villa seems to be out of shape) and lets be realistic with the transfers, cerci and lavezzi are very hard to get in january, our targets should be salah or konplayanka. And I’ve said this before and i will say this again, we need one more defence (nasatic or rolando). So in the end i think one winger, one mid and one defence should do
We need wingers for sure. But my concern is our defence, we have coincided loads of goals to teams who are at the lower end with this defence ie Atlanta cal, bolongne ect .
I think Leiva, Ben Arfa, Ayew and these kind of players are media fantasy trashes like Lennon! Besides, Ausilio is not an idiot like Branca to sign these kind of craps.
Imo the practical targets are Lamela and Salah (cause Ausilio spent some time in London last month), Konop, Cerci and Lavezzi.
If we can get only two of the targets above, Cerci and either Salah or Ayew.
We need to sign Cerci for sure, but Lavezzi? I don’t think so because he earns much higher than our highest salary and he is almost 30 and passing his best form. If we need to sign another striker in addition to Cerci, the suitable name is DESTRO who has still been sitting on Roma’s bench. He deserves more playing time, so it will be a good idea to steal him. Even though we don’t sign Destro, I think we can do well in attack with Icardi, Cerci, Osvaldo, Palacio and Bonazzoli until June. I would also say no to Lucas Leiva, who has been a flop at Liverpool. The best attacking midfield option is Erik Lamela even though it will be difficult to sign him. He can play both in the wing or pure trequartista position. Inter should offer Guarin + cash for Lamela.
In defense, we need Darmian.
