I think we should continue with the 3-man midfield which gives more coverage in defense and helps Medel do what he does best. This way he does not have to try difficult passing but can focus on hunting opponents, retrieving the ball and give it to Brozovic or Kovacic/Hernanes.

I think we should stay with 3 man midfield. It suited us. We can try 4-3-1-2 or 4-3-2-1. I also suggest that we should concentrate more to attack from the middle, not from the flank. Just train hard in breaking opponent’s defense from middle by using through pass or direct shot from outside the box.
I would like to see our team play the through pass to find the striker in front. I just don’t see it in so many games, I don’t know why… but, I suggest to train this through pass more and more. Through pass from the ground and the air. Just train it more and more…
We should train our players to be able to see the spaces around/behind the opponent’s defense, and pass through it. Besides able to pass, the players, especially the strikers should also be able to move and find space between the opponent’s defense so they can get the chance to receive the through pass. We should be more creative about this through pass. Just train it more and more..!
Besides the through pass, in case there’s deadlock when attacking, we should also train the shot from outside the box. Just don’t afraid or scared to try. Just shoot it..! Sometimes the ball could get deflected and find the goal or find our striker in front… This kind of chance could be happened if we just try…
So, I suggest the players to be more confidence and just try the shoot and just try the through pass. Don’t be scared of losing the ball..! Just do it and believe in their self..! Sometimes, luckiness comes from trying and trying..!
If we already decide to be more concentrate the attacking from the middle, then our fullback don’t need to come forward that much. Just till 2/3 of the field should be fine. They should be concentrate more on the defense. With this, we can face opponent’s counterattack from the flank more securely because our 4 back still in position…
Just once in a while, when the attacking really need backup, then our fullback can support in front…
And, I think Dodo are not suited to be a fullback. He should be placed more upfront. His attacking and dribbling ability could be helpful for our attack. We could try to place him in midfield or maybe behind Icardi in 4-3-2-1 formation, where he can play wide too.

We won many titles always with the same pattern: grande defense and deadly counter-attack. We’re fucked for the last 4 years simply because we didn’t follow these proven patterns.
Remember how did Helenio Herrera’s grande Inter 1965/66 play? Remember how our grande defense at 2010 made world most dangerous players at that time like Messi, Drogba and Robben like an amateur? That’s our core strengths. Stick with that.
What should Mancio do?
1. Improve the defense
How: Switch to more balanced formation (442 or 4321), stop using Rano, strip off his arm band, put him on the bench for a while so he can learn from his mistakes, if not sell him next season. The best pair for now would be Juan-Vidic, Juan-Andreolli, or Vidic-Andreolli.
2. Improve the defense again.
How: we have great full backs when we won titles. So stop using Nagatomo or Dodo. They just cannot defend their own shits. Use Santon & D’ambrosio for the rest of season. Next summer, solid fullbacks on both sides must be bought to replace shitty full backs.
3. Counter-attacking minded.
How: stop using Guarin. He has been halting quick-counter attacking plot with his continuous silly dribble and birds long shot. We have Shaqiri, Kovacic and Podolski who are good at dribbling and attacking from flanks, so use them. Medel and Hernanes should be the core in the midfield with Kovacic and Brozovic as the alternatives.
Sell the club to somebody that know what theyre doing. Get a clean new board, new staff, sell all the players, start over.
Vidic and Andreolli have been solid together. It’s those two chicken heads Ranocchia and JJ. They have poor concentration which leads to decisive errors like the one yesterday. If those two play together we will concede lot of goals.
Guys just stop it with the formations! Inter has to do the one thing that they refuse to do – Apologize in public to Mazzarri that it is not his fault for Inter’s performance and admit that this team sucks! Then embarrass this team in public and hope that the guilt and shame will motivate the players to perform. if that fails to work scrap the team and start over.

For Inter fans, having their team in 13th place is not something that feels good, no fan likes their team going through a bad spell, but at the end of the day they move on with their lives. Real fans support their teams in good and bad, hoping things get better when it is bad. I am regretful for Ranocchia’s fate. It is unfair to blame one player. After subs the unified team dismantled and it coused a fatal error. And Napoli had an experienced striker like Higuain who leashed. The team is developing but absolutely out of automatism at the momment. Everyone looks for anyone else on the pitch. I think Inter needs to have practice matches for reaching standardisation. Mancini knows what he need to do hopefully. If I were the coach I would oust the players to the pitch for an entire week without a break until all of them kowledge each other and all of them collapse from tiredness. It means a hard work to me.
Hate to say it, i truthfully think all we need is patience and time. Yes, weve been waiting for years for this team to get better, but we have a good squad. Ok. I would suggest that we go completely utra defensive so we can’t b pregenated by any attack until we have the rgt CD and DM. A 451 formation with Shak and palos on the flanks. We need to become a rock in this second part of the season. This way disipine will b installed on to our defence and midfield.
From my experience in life things almost always continue to get worse before getting better and this is happening with inter although we bought good playets and got a good coach the results are not improving but the team is working hard in training and they want to improve start winning so I dont think their attitude is wrong all they need is to continue to work hard and be patient the results will improve I’m sure.

we don’t have captain, we don’t have player who can make feel safe, lead the team well and give boost morale and spirit to the team. Rano is suck, he’s not worthed as captain. Santon : he is OK, I’m glad he’s back to inter. He can play defensive very well and balance on offensive.
Shaqiri: he is poor on 1 by 1, he has great lefty shoot and crossing so I thing he should play more aggresive than before.
Brozovic: Is he overrated? I think he is balance man (Kuz is the best balance man now). He need right partner who can play offensive and defensive like kova-guaro since he has no power physique like guarin.
Icardi: he is preadator but he need more supply. I think he need to train his teamwork with shaq,palacio, and podolski

No you are not mate, Andreolli is much better than Ranocchia for the captain’s position. But give Juan Jesus a little more time to expand his capabilities and a big trust for being our captain and i believe he can lead this team with his work at the field. IMO, he can be better than Thiago Silva.

I miss Cambiasso. He is great midfielder, true leader. He can backup covering very well when our defenders do overlapping. Inter need player with same characteristic as Cambiasso. I think Medel is our best DMF right now but he is too aggresive.

The solution is to get rid of the likes of Ranocchia, Nagatomo, Guarin, Palacio, Vidic, Jonathan, Kuzmanovic and all those who are a waste of space in the squad. Find a winning team who understand the coach and the coach understand them and let it to continue to grow as a team.

He is alright man. He can play another season. It’s not easy to come to a new league. He is getting better now. He has loads of experience. He should become the new captain.
Our defence needs work, a lot. Ranocchia should be benched and sold asap, and we need someone world class to partner and tutor Jesus, Vidic ain’t gonna cut it.
Another thing to consider is that Mancini never was good at setting up a defence, you can check videos from his first spell at Inter, we conceded stupid goals back then as well, but it wasn’t so evident because overall we had the strongest squad in the league, but it WAS evident in europe, hence he never got us too far in UCL. Mourinho was the only coach in recent history that had a clockwork precise defence.
Anyway, let’s get one thing clear, Andrea Ranocchia should not play football at Inter, and he should be stripped of the captaincy as soon as possible.

Agree with you there on the 3 man midfield – it also suites the players we have there; Brozo, Medel (as you said) Kova Hernanes, Kuz yeah even Guarin are all used to play in a 3 man midfield with their national teams and former teams!
In defense we should play Vidic or Andreolli with JJ and try to sell Ranno right away plus have D’Ambros and Santon on the full backs!

Our systems (4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1) are doing well. The problem is about individuals who doesn’t deserve to wear our shirt!
I hope with Shaqiri and Podolsky we can up our level,but I was wrong. I think our general problem is motivation in team, we haven’t champions who can go forward on pitch. And i agree with Mardani we need play more trought middle 4-3-3 it’s not for our team in this moment. When we played against Lazio and Genoa we play like 4-1-3-2 with 3 CM and 1 DM. And i think it’s will be more useful for us and team understand how should play with this tactic.
After yesterday there are some things that are certain now. Santon WILL play. It doesn’t matter where, he is good on the attack and on the defense, our only full back with those characteristics. Midfield needs two runners (Brozovic, Medel) instead of only one and finally if Ranocchia sets his foot on the pitch again I swear I will find him and chop it off.

I have to add that i was pleased with Brozovic performance yesterday. Although he struggled to make an impact for his first real match, he shown us his glimpse of brilliant with that fine long through pass towards Icardi that almost giving Puscas the chance to score. He should be given more time and let him settle down quickly and make him learn Italian football. Forget Kovacic, Brozovic is the perfect player as a Regista. Kova can be our real Trequarista.
its the midfield that was most problem. and shocking as it seems, medel was the weak link. he was out played and out outmaneuver many times. i agreed that Mancio should have played it 4-5-1 if hes going to let Medel do his job.
and i don’t know why some pitiful tifosi still pick Rano as the black sheep. he did well throughout the first half, covering for amazingly timid Medel and even making some crucial tackles for a very rusty JJ.
Santon did well for his first game defensively but struggle to move fowards because Shaqiri was the most disappointing player last night. Shaqiri can’t even played a decent game and that has to be because lack of coverage in the midfield and we see how the CBs were moving constantly high up to support the midfielders thus suffered when Napoli made that quick counter attacked leading to Higuain goal.
Nagatomo was brilliant going up but suffers badly defensively. Mancio needs to address this weakness. 5 in the midfields in the nxet game i suggested but this would mean omitting the 2 strikers which is another problem as Puscas was proving to be as dangerous player along side Icardi and he well could be the perfect replacement for aging Palacio as both Icardi-Puscas seems to have good chemistry playing together.

the author has no idea what he’s saying. a 3-man defence would be our worst nightmare. so, here goes:
1. drop Rano, he’s been horrendous and quite frankly we lost yesterday because of his lapse in concentration
2. we need more creativity. we should keep playing Hernanes because he’s been doing his job well and Kova often has been invisible in games
3. we need to press more. we tend to stand off too much and let the other team dictate play. this is why we should play Brozovic

1. Rano? He was a rock yesterday. It was JJ that making silly mistake and obviously rusty as he often out of place. And making it difficult was the tendency to cover the flank as Nagatomo moving fowards all the time. His lapse was because the back line was too much upfront. I blame that on the midfield.
2. The appears to be no chemistry at all in the midfield. and i guess this has been Inter problem for quite some time now. Shaq was the most disappointing player last night. Hernanes has his best game, but hopefully he can be as consistent in every game. Medel is the weak link. He was constantly out maneuver as he was playing out of his role passing instead of tackling, so this i agreed with the author.
3. Brozovic showed his glimpse of talent, and hopefully Mancio will play his a Regista after this.

Ranno was totally a sleep and unaware about the where-abouts of Higuain on the thrown-in! It was HIS mistake (once again) which lead to our defeat!
