During yesterday’s presentation of Panchina d’Oro (Bench of Gold ed.) for 2013/14, Roberto Mancini spoke to Sportmediaset spoke about the situation at Inter, beginning with the Inter’s birthday yesterday: “I have been here for several years and I give my best wishes to this club that has many fans around the world. Change of mentality? It is the first step, but it still takes a bit of time. We need to continue to be proactive and not wait. The guys are working well, they bring maximum commitment and the results are starting to show on the pitch.”
“Wolfsburg? There will be two tough matches because they are a very good team. Inter needs to be able to make few mistakes to go throguh. A blank check for the transfer market? This is a problem for Bolingbroke and Inter (laughs). Seriously, we will have to take into account several things, including the Financial Fair Play, but we will try to build a competitive team for the championship.”

Best thing about mancini is he’s not all talk and is ready to take blame if he made a mistake, his confidence is starting to show in our players, it may be slow but there is improvement in every part of the squad, but the only thing we are lacking is keeping hold of those improvements – not to mention every week its one player playing better and two playing worse, we need some serious consistency.
Biggest difference that I’ve seen between Mazzarri’s Inter and Mancini’s Inter is confidence. Most of the players seem like more confident on the field right now, Guarin f.ex. Although he was really bad against Napoli but I kind of hope that he plays 3-4 good games and 1 bad. Not the other way as that was the deal during Mazzarri’s era.
Kovacic is kind of searching himself but I have no doubt that he will turn out great soon… Mancini is the right coach for us and I hope he stays for a long time.
Exactly, I hope rano’s game wasn’t just a fluke and is actually a boost of confidence and form
I think most of the troubles Inter had/has been because of that lack of confidence. Rano is another example of that. He’s been solid this year. Hope they keep it up.
