Gaston Camara celebrated his 19th birthday yesterday and stopped to talk to Inter Channel after training with the Inter first team. The Primavera winger talked about his birthday and his step up to the Inter senior side.
“I wanted to celebrate but I haven’t had time. I’m training with the big boys and it’s a magnificent experience that will help me with my development.”
The Guinean then had praise for Inter coach Roberto Mancini.
“Mancini is teaching me so much from a tactical perspective. When we’re going through a drill and I make a mistake, he stops play and explains to me exactly what I need to do.”
Camara has had a great season for the Primavera side and has also made his debut with the seniors, and was asked how the two teams compare.
“The tempo is very different at this level. First team football is far more physical. But everyone has been so helpful and I’m learning a lot.”

Super fast and an amazing dribbler. Hope he grows into a good player and hopefully stays with us.
Always admired him, he seems to have the capabilities to make something of himself in the future. Personally I find he would be much benefit for inter if he goes on loan for a year or two, so he can develop at his own pace with less pressure.
We should loan him to Serie B for now or just let him play for Primavera, he is very young.
why still doubt him if you just praise his ability. i think Inter should come to a new approach: try him now in the last 10 games. sometimes an earlier first hand experience in the senior team has a more lasting effects and it grows the player at higher level compared playing in Serie B and coming back in the senior team still with Serie B mentality. Many other big leagues in Europe used this concept and looks at the Germans, Netherlands and the French with their youth products.
On the contrary, I do not doubt him, he is simply young to handle the pressure from first team level at inter from the media fans and all.. Just saying he needs time to grow minus the pressure. I do not know camara as a person to be able to asses his capabilities of handling pressure like that especially from the media.
I still think its best for RM to utilised Camara’s strength and ability now. This is the perfect time for RM to do it rather than wait for preseason or some pretour matches. He won’t make the cut if he goes to Serie B, might better send him back to primevera! How many Inter players that ever break into senior team from loan to Serie B @ C? If however he need some minutes better off load him to other leagues that fights for championships. La Liga is a prefered destination like what we see with Longo. But the truth is the Inter management still can’t put their heads together when dealing with youth. They still trapped in the 90s era when Serie A was the king of the castle where buying talents was optimum choice, but now we’re lack behind and not realised that the trade is the way other around.
Smaller teams in La liga or premier league would be a great a destination.. However I do not think longo is of inters level yet.. A good example is with coutinho that flourished in la Liga. inter right now would like to get back to Europe within the last ten matches, it would not be sensible to put that much pressure on the kid unless he could really handle it. RM would asses him on whether or not the player would be able to perform within these circumstances.
yeah, i agree with you bro, wish strama still here, camara would be in our starting line up
hope you get more playing time
Wish him all the best
