Speaking to the microphones of LaRoma24, Federico Pastorello, agent of Samir Handanovic commented on the situation of the Slovenian goalkeeper in the light of the statements of the same at the end of Inter-Verona in which he said there was no progress in the contract renewal with Inter.
After Verona-Inter Handanovic said that no progress has been made regarding his contract renewal.
“You’ve heard the words of Samir. There is nothing to comment on, I don’t want to add anything more. I think it was very explicit of the boy, he said how a given situation is. At the moment there is nothing new, and we will see in the coming days.”
The time for the renewal is getting closer?
“No, his contract, however, is about to expire in a year and a few months. There is time for an eventual discussion.”
A month ago he said to our staff that Roma had not yet officially made a move for Handanovic, is it still so?
“No, for the moment nothing official yet. We also denied rumors of an agreement with the Giallorossi that were out in some newspaper. As for that discussion, I believe that Roma first will wait to see how things go in the league and then on what kind of target player go for.”
The names circulating for Roma’s goal next season are important: Cech, Handanovic, Neto.
“I imagine that to replace a great goalkeeper like De Sanctis, they need to get another equally big, the names that were mentioned are all of great profile and level.”
Do you have scheduled appointments with Inter?
“No, any appointments have not been made for the moment and there is no news in this regard. We have talked with the club and we said that we will see at the end of the season if we can reach an agreement, there is still time, absolutely.”
In the event of non-renewal with the Nerazzurri, does Samir want to stay in Italy or go abroad?
“That is not a discussion for now. For the moment he is under contract with Inter and wants to try to finish as best he can for his club the current season. Then after that we will see in the future.”

He still got a year left of his contract and hopefully he will honoured it. Inter need to grasped the reality it will be a difficult next season and will continue to do so if objectives fails to be met.
Well, sadly, I am ready to see him leave. There’s no point on keeping unmotivated player. We need player who’s willing to bleed, play their heart out for the colors.
I miss Matrix 🙁
If he goes I hope we go for Ruffier. He’s very solid, young and could be affordable.
don’t sell him unless were getting Perin. Pay him and Icardi the 3 and call it a day. Use the money Thohir is throwing in to buy Dybala and sell the guys we don’t need like palacio guarin etc. i’d rather not see inter buy toure and i’d like to see more Kovacic
let this guy go. He is only good on the line. CAn’t football at all.
Has no calmness and is too bussy in his head always.
He so far didn’t saved us points. the games he saved a penalty we already lost or where already in front.
Can’t decide if sarcasm or stupid…
Well if he wants to leave just let him. We can’t force anyone to stay ! Samir is not cesar. Samir is not toldo or pagliuca . They loved inter with all their heart.
Yeah, but it’s easier to be loyal to a club that is playing top football and is one of the best clubs on the world. Many players in the likes that you mentioned might have as well asked for a move to a world class club to compete for the best if Inter sucked back then.
Cesar went away coz he didn’t want his paycut if I’m not mistaken. He was great and loved Inter, even cried at goodbye but stil noone wants to give up money…
He didn’t deserved the ‘pay cut’. He won us the Trebel with his superb display. Its not just him that Inter willing to crucified: Lucio, Maicon, Sniejder, Milito, Eto’o, Chivu, Stankovic, Pandev.. almost all the trebel winning squad and replaced them with untested and undeserved players that come and go because Inter top management were so inept in managing their balance book! You do know it is the very reason Moratti sold Inter in 2013, a debt more than 400mil.
Ah well it’s clear he’s unhappy in inter
