This match will be the highlight of RM short season with Inter so far. I think a draw is more realistic. But a defeat will paint on his upcoming new season where he got to make up for all the disappointment even though half of it wasn’t his fault. He has to get over his disagreement with Kovacic and changing the tactic now gives him the opportunity to integrate Kovacic back into the team. Like i said before, Kovacic is made for ‘trequarista’ role. Ever wonder why he excell playing under Mazzarri but not RM? There are other ‘defensive’ players up to the job like Medel or Campagnaro, it is his real position not as left back! Let Kovacic play up there and leave the attacking moves to him and we will see the old Kovacic we all come to love. However i still have the gut feeling that RM is not a genuine ‘great’ coach that will do anything serious for Inter in years to come.

Disagree with Kova as a Trequartista… He is meant to be a Regista. To be able to have space to run at defences… This is why Mancini wants Kova to improve his defending.
hah! how he suffered. until when will people like you understand he cannot play as regista? why don’t you play shaq as regista and see if he likes to run at defense. running onto defense you got to put the player just behind the strikers, a lone zonal post where he is free, to chip, to make an intelligent through pass or run around the defenders and score. do we see Pirlo score so many goals? no. because he is regista. regista is for slow pass player but have unique intelligence play. do we see player like vidal score goals. yes. because he is a great dribbler and he is a trequarista. would i remind you about kaka? he was a trequarista. so was rui costa. so was sneijder.

I’m disappointed in Kovacic. I love that kid but he is not doing anything to convince Mancini. But I agree that this is his chance to prove himself. He has so much potential and I’m so frustrated that he isn’t using it. I really hope he improves, otherwise we might have to sell him. And I don’t think any of us wants that.

Obi is useless and Guarin is our biggest problem in midfield. I don’t know why Mancini likes him so much.. I’d prefer Kova instead of him any day. Guarin makes a lot of mistakes that makes our defense vulnerable.
not defending kova, but IMHO he is just 20 year old, not a messi nor ronaldo, even iniesta and xavi made biggest impact in their mature ages (i think in mid 20s)…look at icardi himself, he progressed in samps..and yet, in last years, how many young players improved themselves in here, inter? even we kept selling our youths to buy an experienced player…the most important for young players like him in his ages are making mistakes, learning, keep improving, and never stop creating new ideas in his gaming..poor him, the condition in inter is not that conducive to develop…just look at cou, how he can develop his skill in another club..
I agree. It’s hard to shine in these circumstances. But he has the potential to be a game changer. Last couple of games he’s just been jogging around. He can do so much more.
