Gianluca Di Marzio clears the water on why Piero Ausilio met with the agent of Mateo Kovacic today.
It reportedly is not what most think it is about (a Liverpool transfer offer).
Inter want Dynamo Zagreb’s Ante Coric, an 18 year-old midfielder with a huge potential. His agent, Mario Mamic spoke with Ausilio today. Kovacic and Coric share the same agent in Mamic, as do most current and former Dynamo players.
“The young Croatian renewed his contract recently with Dynamo Zagreb (until 2020) but Inter are trying seriously,” said Di Marzio
He spoke on the rumors that the meeting was about a possible Kovacic transfer:
“Mancini’s no. 10 on the table? No, not at all, although he was seen in the hotel.”

Author’s note: As to why Kovacic was in the same hotel? I find it perfectly normal for a player to be meeting with his agent when they are in the same city. I am sure, however, that some word on Kovacic may have been had between Mamic and Ausilio, hopefully with a “yeah..NO” regarding a transfer away. Also, the “ic’s”, and Balkan’s in general have done pretty well at Inter so far, so bring on Coric.

I really hope we get him. But at this point, its properly to early to tell. Allot of players are being connected to Inter and are gonna be, in the coming month. But this is a player I truly hope that we get..

I think the best thing to do with players like these is buy them and then loan them out to the same club, so he stays there an extra season but we already signed him so no other club can snatch him.
He’s still 18 and it’s better to be playing than sitting on inter’s bench.
but Inter can’t affford to spend (from Inter’s financial point of view) a moderate amount (let’s say 4-6m) on a player who won’t even play for us right away. looking at our squad, every penny counts. altho like you said, that would be the smart move…

He’s a huge potential, better than Kova was at the age of 18 but I don’t want him to come to Inter because Inter will only screw him up.
Coric is a huge prospect. Could be better than Kovacic himself.

yeah he is in first team in dinamo zagreb..they won chamionship whit no losses,cup…croatian and jurnalist predict great future…but dinamo wants 20 mil for him..and that is “little” 2 much for us right now

There are other articles saying liverpool and Ausilio met to discuss Kovacic. If they sell him, especially if it’s for a low amount, I’ll stop supporting inter 🙁
dude i mean no offence..stop calling ur self interista if you behave like that..it’s break my heart when i knew sneijder leave this club..but till now i keep supporting inter even this club become a mediocre..no matter what happen inter is always bigger than the players itself..IMO..

yep it seems like Chivo will be our future feeder-club for young players and players without a EU-pass port

It could look like it, but we already have had some Balkan players in recent time. And they done good in Inter. Always loved the Serbian and Croatian players..
