Tuttosport writes today that the Inter midfield could be facing a revolution. Besides Kovacic, in front of interesting offers Hernanes and Guarin could also leave. Kuzmanovic, Obi and Krhin on the other had are sure to leave while. Crisetig will be evalued, he has many requests and Gnoukouri will leave on loan. The only two that seem sure to stay at Inter are Brozovic and Medel.

Kondogbia is more like Toure (or if not at this time, he could develop like him in the future). He’s a powerhouse with beastly strength and technique, good marker and tackler, and can drive the ball forward while protecting his zone. Imbula is a box to box midfielder with more attributes on physical ability (especially his pace and stamina) and technique but not really good at defending skill (he won only 34% of his tackle).
Now, look at our own Kovacic. If you want to see the REAL Kovacic, look at the few last matches on 2013/2014 (under Mazzari) and 2014/2015 (under Mancini). I don’t know what his problem was, but that’s how he should play every match. He can release a killer through pass like Xavi (remember our last match against empoli?) and keep the ball nicely. And what surprised me the most, he can defend well too (he did some good tackles on few last games which were very important for building a counter attack). Perhaps, the problem was he got too much pressure when he played as attacking midfielder behind the two strikers. He’s not a fantatista like Kaka, Totti, or James Rodriguez who waits for the ball from other player and can take on few defenders. He’s a FIGHTER.
When Mancio decided to put Hernanes as trequartista, he set Kovacic back to his ideal position where he can pass a killer ball and disrupt opponent defense.
So I hope Inter think twice before selling Kovacic. They made a terrible mistake by selling Coutinho, please don’t make a same mistake. Kovacic and Kondogbia will be a good pair. Don’t forget about Brozovic, who also played some good performances on last serieA games (he’s more like Stankovic, actually— play simple pass, eye for long shot, and good positioning). Signing Imbula is not a bad idea. We can get some income from players like Guarin, Obi, Kuzmanovic, Vidic, or Handanovic. YES, I prefer to lose Vidic and Handa. We already get Murillo and Miranda. They probaly will be our duet for central defenders. If Inter still intent to sign Abdennour (which is a very excellent idea), we better sell Vidic and put his salary slot for other player. For Handa, I rather sign a free-transfer GK like Romero or Neto. We won’t compete in Europe next season. Their calibre should be enough for Serie A level.

If they sell Kovacic they would make even a worse mistake than selling Coutinho.. Coutinho is very good, but couldn’t get along in Inter’s game. Kovacic however can, he has so much potential..

Motta was fantastic for us before, but now he’s older, injury prone and will have an expensive salary. That’s why I’m not excited for him to come back. Would rather stick with Medel, Broz and Gnock.

The only hypothesis of a sale will be in my opinion if Inter receives an offer > 35 mln EUR + Imbulla eventual signing – and frankly I don’t think that those two things would happen.
Looking at the actual team, I think this is the best that we can do as a formation. In addition of that, we have good subtitution players, such as:
Juan, Vidic, Dodo, Brozovic, Hernanes and Gnoukouri (maybe he should go on loan).
Players definitely to sell are the following: RANOCHIA, Andreolli, Campagnaro, Felipe, Nagatomo (not a must), Guarin, Obi and Kuzmanovic
So if Ausillio handle to make these sales and sign one winger as Salah or Cuadrado + one back up winger type Biabiny, it will be really a good mercato.
Filipe luiz will be the final dream signing, but a must as we have lot of full backs.

sorry, where do you get the news? i have not read any news about him lately, but Imbulla. I cant choose between them. Motta is experienced, while Imbulla has future. I will be very happy if we have both of them.
Based on your formation, i feel sorry for Medel. Motta and Kondogbia will eat his spot. But, hey.. Medel plays as CB in his national team for coppa america. Damn, Murillo, Miranda and Medel (the 3 ‘M’), they are playing as a rock great defender at coppa america, and they are ours!

kovacic hasn’t played great higher up the pitch. his best role is on the left side of a midfeld three. i’d prefer motta becuase he can be our captain and is better in possession

Unfortunately, sometimes signed a new contract means rising up players value on the next mercato. Its the same case with Handa, i read someone’s opnion last month, that Handa will renew his contract with a clause he can be sold if CL team offer him. This means new contract matter is just about maintain the player’s selling price. Dont get me wrong, I prefer Kova stay, even I was not impressed a lot by Kova last season. For, 40M price, he can go and wish him success, then use that money for any good AM or Winger.
As i said above, Medel and Brozo need to stay. Kondo comes = Obi, Kuzma, Krhin out. No space for them. Then if Imbulla or Motta come = Guarin will be sold. I still like him, tough. I hate his bird shooter skills, but honestly i was the one who greatly happy at the time he joined us. I was always watching him when he was at porto and regularly played for his national team. I was really want him to join us. Poor him, his skills has declined. Sometimes his passing or assists is good. Mancini may still love him because of his brave and powerhorse.
I still love Herna to stay with us. You may realize his recent form. Same case with Guarin, they are just not consistent. I still believe, the whole team performances (especially defender) did efect their form and mentality last season. Since Guarin can play as AM (I mean Kova sub) then I dont mind if we sell Herna to get more cash 🙂 , since we need to buy buy decent winger or icardi’s partner.

Jovetic is a good option, but i prefer perisic and salah (by loan). In my opinion, it is risky to buy injury prone player like him to be a starter. If it just a loan as Shaqiri/Icardi’s sub, then i am okay. I still believe Mancini is trying to get decent attacker with good heading skills. I wish Carillo join INTER, since he has a good head (we still lack attacker with good heading skills). Then he would be Mancini’s new CRUZ or CRESPO.

yeah that’s what i’m wondering :S. when we signed kondogbia i immediately thought 4-2-3-1 with kovacic-kondogbia in midfield but with imbula coming i’m having a hard time imagining what will be our lineup… imbula-kondogbia is likely but not practical they’re too similar to eachother.

No way was Kova the mvp for us this season, he is very inconsistent in his performances. I rate Kondogbia over him, so it would be to step forward and one step back. We had one problem this season and that was giving support to our defense, Kondogbia will give us that. Both chances created and ball posession was things we lead the league in and Kova was far from the factor in that department which he should have been. Trust me I have as much fate than everyone else in Kova, I rather have him than Imbula, but we seem to overrate his contribution to this team. I know he will develop in to a world class player, but how long are we willing to wait to get back to the top? Are the satisfaction of developing a world class player more important than getting back to CL?
