After having failed to land Chievo’s Zukanovic, Roberto Mancini and Inter set their sights on Chelsea’s Brazilian full-back Felipe Luis.
According to Corriere dello Sport Inter President Erick Thohir could play a decisive role in this transfer as he’s already been in contact with his Russian counterpart regarding Mohamed Salah. During these contacts the Indonesian tychoon also expressed an interest in the Brazilian full-back, and according to Corriere dello Sport, if Chelsea sell Salah to Roma instead of Inter, Abramovich could “compensate” Inter buy selling Felipe Luis to the Nerazzurri due to his close connections with Thohir.
The deal to bring Luis to Inter would be a loan with option to buy however, before any such deal coan materialize, inter need to sell Nagatomo or Santon, the Rome-based paper concludes.
i dont think INTER failed to have Zukanovic… Mancini probably had his eyes set on someone else.. because Zukanovic was only worth 2.9 M

Nagatomo for Luis is a no brainer, really. Just make it happen. Abramovic “compensates” us, we get Perisic and Jovetic instead of Salah, and everyone is happy.

agreed, Naga and Santon out for sure. but I would pass on F.Luis. We should go scouting in brazil… call up Leo.
Also don’t shoot me anyone but if we can keep King Johnny on the books for under half a mil a year I wouldn’t mind seeing him try the position out for half a season.
Honestly it’s tough because Naga is at an age where we have to sell him… but he’s our best Lateral Defender with Montoya. Dodo still has a lot of potential and I would keep him. Santon can go or stay but the guy is very limited, I would honestly try and sell him and try and use Schelotto in his place as an experiment, or even Ranocchia there (Rano said he would try RB). D’ambrosio is the definition of mediocrity.
This windows we should probably sell 2 of Santon, D’ambrosio and Naga. I would keep Naga but it’s tough since he would bring the most money, Santon and D’ambrose combined would bring what 7 mil? At least D’ambrose shows heart but Santon is a milanista. Still all 3 are not inter material. (naga is tactically stupid but he has dangerous characteristics in attack, dodo can take over those duties)
I honestly don’t believe our chances are too big and I’m not sure how much I’d want Inter to press for Filipe.
He’s a good player, but he’ll be 30 before the new season starts and Chelsea bought him only last season for 14m pounds!
Besides, there are intensive rumors that Atletico also want him to return to Madrid, and if that is the case, the problem of them having cash and us not would emerge.

Montoya will hardly be benched. Santon will either be sold or will go on the bench (they’ll try to sell him if a good offer that tempts him comes in since they can make more cash on him than on Nagatomo).
