We shoud not give them option to buy, i had high hopes for him. Which other keepers do we have that is talent whit us ??
Raffaele Di Gennaro
Inter always has class keepers, it’s in our DNA 😀
From Zenga, to Gianluca Pagliuca…
I don’t know if this is a mistake or not, Bardi is good don’t get me wrong but like I believe loaning players and having ties and believing they are the future is a big mistake, especially in the goalkeeping position, I believe inter need to buy world class goalkeepers or perfectly proven and developed goalkeepers. Having Bardi in the team and loaning him back and forth every season will make Bardi impatient, selling him outright (option to buy, etc…), in my opinion, is a great choice, the player will concentrate on his development with his new team and we will get money because of him, as I believe loans (for the purpose of developing a young talent) should be between 15-20, and Bardi is 23 years old, either play him or sell him and he is not yet ready for this challenge so selling him is best. Having a buy-back clause would be great if the player would become world class but other than that, no need to hold on to him.
The problem with bardi is he couldnt even secure 1st choice gk at chievo… and their main gk stinks… so perhaps got to bardis head and he choked… happens to young talents. Look at sebastian frey. He was more talented than bardi… signed with inter… did ok for a season then his head got huge and he became average… sold him and he recovered at fiorentina and learned his lesson. Bardi needs to go to a club that plays him to recover after getting slapped in the mouth by chievo. Hopefully this will help him in the future.. or else he can leave. Compare him to perin or scuffet and hes been a let down.
So buy Perrin and Scuffet, sell Handa, Berni and Carizzo. Problem solved
I would be all for perin and scuffet but it will be hard just to get one of them. I known Handa is one of the best but he really does make some stupid mistakes sometimes where he just watched the ball… but nobody can be perfect… well to be honest I miss Julio Cesar, sure he sometimes had off games but the guy was a treat to watch and had so much fight in him. Handa is more shy. I would love to get Perin since I believe he will be the next top gk in the world and he is ready to step up. We also have good relations with Genoa. Scuffet still needs more time and Udinese don’t really deal with us (Allan).
So I would sell Handa, Bardi, Berni, Carizzo and just get Perin and if sometimes happens to Perin have Palacio cover like in that one game 😀 or realistically just use Gennaro as backup. Carrizo is a good reaction GK but he really is super average… but he’s cheap.
For Bardi’s defense he was the number 1 goalie in Chievo until they changed coach to some stubborn Italian who didn’t like youngsters and that was the day when Bardi started sitting on the bench even though he played quite well until that.
Yes that’s true. Chievo were facing relegation hence why they changed coach. That stubborn italian did save them at the expense of Bardi. I still think if Bardi was all that he would have surely displaced Bizzari… Bardi did produce some howlers. I’m not saying you’re wrong, you’re right but Bardi wasn’t irreproachable and we can’t only blame the coach since in the end the coach saved the team.
I still think if we get good money for Bardi we should move on it with a buyout clause. I mean look at Viviano, he’s good yes but he’s not Inter material. Remember, we’ve always had top notch GK: Bordon, Zenga, Pagliuca, Peruzzi, Toldo, Julio Cesar, Handanovic (even Frey was very talented, just got too cocky: he was like the mexes of goalkeepers lol)
Yep, it’s hard to challenge for that number1 spot. But I still hope he will be our Number 1 at some point. 🙂
