Today, fomer Inter player Xherdan Shaqiri was presented as a Stoke City player at a press conference in which he explained the reasons that led him to this new experience in England.
PREMIER LEAGUE – “For me it was always a dream to play here. Now I finally arrived, I can’t wait to get started and do what I love the most, that is to play. My first impressions? It was very nice to be at the stadium on Sunday. Unfortunately the result was negative, but I saw many good things. I chose to come because the club has shown that they wanted me strongly, this to me is very important. In addition I think we have a very strong team, the coach wants a team that plays good football and always wants to win, just like me. I can’t wait to start, now I feel fit and I will be available when I am needed.”
DIFFERENCES – “I’ve watched a lot of games, I know that Italian football and English are very different. Here, you play a lot on offense and all the teams are very offensive, so I think this championship is the best for me. I think the Premier League is the most beautiful in the world. There are no poor teams, you never know what kind of results there will be, therefore we must work every day to do our best. I am ready, with my last club I trained very well. ”
GOALS – “Everybody wants to play in the Champions League or the Europa League, but for the moment it is not right too look too far ahead and focus on one match at a time.”

Good luck Shaq.Fuck this shit Mancini!
I feel he is gonna be a sucsess there
I dont’ know what the hell is this guy did. It’s the same responses (I want to play, English is beautiful league, and I’m ready to give my all) like the one he gave when he was arriving at Inter. Karma, maybe?
Irrelevant! Sorry just saying
He experiences this all over again. From Bayern (benched and has problem with Guardiola) to Inter (benched and has problem with Mancio), to Stoke.
So, career-wise, it’s a downhill.
Good luck in England, hopefully you will have a fresh start and become a BPL great. (Hopefully he will go on my FPL)
At least he hasn’t dissed us yet
We don’t know what the reason for selling him was. Maybe he decided, noone knows other than the management and ruminegge.
He says after 2-3 days in England!
I was gonna say he can’t fully access football in Italy since he was
there for such a short time but then again he already has an opinion on english style of play.
I actually am quite impressed with stoke and their transfer window. Van Ginkel, Shay Given, Glen Johnson, Affelay and now Shaq. some pretty decent names for a club like this. can see them making a run for Europa qualification.
