Marco Fassone said goodbye to the team today after training. According to Sky the former Inter General Director was saddened and moved when saluting the squad one last time after his three years at the club. He gave a short speech in the dressing room where he fought back the tears. With Fassone out that means Michael Bolingbroke will take over those responsibilities as well. Vice President Javier Zanetti will get bigger responsibilities as well. Erick Thohir will clarify things upon his arrival for Inter-Verona.

I am a little bit shocked but good luck anyway
i don’t know what i feel about this. i though he did well, with good purchases and everything. can this be because of the salah saga? was he the one talking to his agent and almost creating trouble or is it a simple downsizing as mohamed says? or is it because of a fall-out with Bollingbroke? imo he’s a quality asset and have been crucial thus far, he’s wages can’t be that much either? i don’t get this.
wtf does gobbi mean?
Gobbi is plural of italian word gobbo. It is the sobriquet of the rubentus supporters means humped. Gobbo ladrone – Humped thieves
In my opinion, it’s down staffing the management section, as fassone job responsibilities and duties could be spread over other staff as zanetti and Bolingbroke. It is a simple business procedure to minimise cost to which other management staff are able to conduct the job.
Well, we have a Coach, Mancini who is acting more like an English Manager – calling players all around the globe to make them join us, so making Ausilio the new director of sport and making Mancini the Manager (responsible for player buys and sales like he seems to want to) would make Fassone not needed anymore – right?
This is truly sad… he seemed great… but I guess thohir knows best…
that was unexpected.. I have absolutely no idea whether Fassone leaving would affect us positively or negatively especially since we are still in the process of building a competitive team.. i can only say thank you and good luck… Forza Inter
I thought he was doing a good job. Dunno if he got fired or resigned himself. Probably all that chasing after Perisic’s agent a month ago took its toll, among other things.
Maybe it was related with the failure of the stadium project?
i also think that.
He was hired to build the new stadium in the first place. Now it seems like we don’t need him anymore.
Strange, I thought that he played part in the squad overhaul
Good luck.
