Napoli are practically on the verge of closing the deal to purchase Davide Santon as reported by Il Mattino.
Inter have accepted the offer of 5 million (plus bonuses) made by the Neapolitan club. Yesterday there was a meeting in Milan between the Napoli sporting director, Giuntoli and Santon’s agent, Vigorelli. The agreement is on the basis of a 5 year contract with a 1 Million euros salary plus bonuses. Napoli have overtaken Torino in the race to sign Santon after he rejected the move to Sunderland. The negotiations are at a very advanced stage and can be closed shortly. Santon was preferred to Widmer by the Napoli directors.

Santon is still better player than Naga, Ambro, and Juje.
Back then at the start of last season, we had a quite stable back side and winning games by slight advantage 1-0 2-1 when Santon and Telles were playing. And then approaching mid season Mancini starts to bench both of them and we fall down the table little by little. With some blunders done by Ambro, Naga, and Juje very visible at crucial times, including a few own goals (those three were the rotating fullbacks, replacing Santon-Telles as starter line-up). Very stupid decision.
I don’t understand Mancini’s head really. His choice of payers are often unbelievably nonsensical.
like how he prioritize Palacio over Ljajic or Eder, Brozovic over Kondogbia or Medel, and also Lord Biabiany over Jovetic. Astonishing.
The green field has proved that his choice players are mediocre, many times. Yet he still holds faith and play those junks like they were Ozil or Di Maria.

because, let’s see, our rivals there have already known how dumb our marketing side is. so no wonder we keep buying, wasting money, betting on unrecognized/already out of prime players, otherwise no club wants our players. we are a bunch of overrated players. it’s seemed like we begged juve last season to buy hernanes just because for them that sum of money is nothing while us in the other side, cadge to them because we really need it.

From what we had as FB’s I’d sell Nagatomo and D’umbrosio first and then Dodo, but keep Santon and Juan. At leas they had talent to begin with. Now we’ll cringe again every time Naga or Dumbo enter the field.
i would definitely keep juan, because he can cover two positions on the field and he can develope more and his price can rise. but we gave him for nothing ……to our rival…….just loan and maybe 8mln next year if he achieved certain conditions which is soooo stupid deal that i cant even describe it! u give dept to your rival in the league, u dont take money u can reinvest in the current transfer market for better player or any player in that case…u weaken two positions. now our third cb is rano :(((( or andreoli but he is still injured:((( if he performes well sure roma will sell him for high price next season. dodo cost us 7mln from roma, juan cost them 8mln………………… juan>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>dodo

who cares we just want to get rid of santon. last year he refused 10mln transfer from EPL, this season again – refuse deal for 4mln his price is going down but he still continue to take his 1.6mln salary per year and has wtill 3 years left in his contract. thats what we want to get rid of… his salary is not deserved. same for ranos 3mln per year… what a waste of money…
i respect juan because when he understood he will not be part of future inter he left. not like rano, santon, jovetic, melo that continue to squezz our balls for more money!!!
Okay idk why we keep selling to direct rivals…yes there’s an argument that the players sold (jj and santon) isn’t that good but i think it’s still a bad idea…adding depth to the rivals’ squad when they make it a living hell for us to get anyone from them.

I liked Santon, more than someone like Nagatomo, but for some reason Mancini forsaken him. So if he isn’t going to play, might as well sell him I guess.
We just lost a good fullback who can play on either side and has a lot of years ahead of him, he isn’t a bad player otherwise Napoli wouldn’t have offered for him
