I have to admit I’ve been quite hard on Franky the last couple of days, actually losing all faith in the man faster than you can spell AJAX, so when I see my team and coach turn the result around and make a complete comeback after being one-zero down to Juve I take off my hat and admit De Boer is there with the team. Now I didn’t see the game because I was deD sure we would loose but I’ll be in front of the screen again against Empoli,that’s for sure! Great job Frank De Boer!!

Watching Mario play like a boss in his 2nd game for inter against Juve of all teams makes me think we won’t be seeing much of Brozo anytime soon. I’m more concerned about K Dog’s chances, anyway.
Yeah. I think Joao Mario, Banega and Medel are pretty settled as the core of the midfield. Medel has been good, not as amazing as the other two, but he is present to give some defensive stability.

Thank you dear friend for noticing the tactical advantages. Medel is an unsung hero who covers so much ground for the other two.. And even with him running himself into the ground and winning headers against much taller players, he rarely makes a mistake. He keeps it simple, I have tremendous respect for the guy

Oh I agree with your point regarding medel’s role. I agree that in almost every game, he’s a bit makelele-esque.
His ability to read the game and quick interception on the passing lanes are good, but his “simple passes” are mostly to the back and sideways and sometimes clumsy, his lateral and transitional movement isn’t as smooth as makelele, thus I would argue that he isn’t half the player makelele was.

I have to STRONGLY disagree. they all played great today, and he was in beast mode! maybe some fans see the touches and forward runs of banega and Mario, they forget all the breaking up of play. medel, almost single handedly, cut any link between midfield and attack for juve. it was because of him that Mario and ever had all that freedom. Banega was obviously top class; so happy to have him in the squad. Mario played a good game; still early to judge.
